Gig Platforms

 

Each gig platform has a homebuilt payroll system to pay its workers. As such, each connection Argyle builds into these platforms should be thought of as a custom, one-off build with little economies of scale.

 

Building out the connection is a confined amount of effort. The complexity with Gig Platforms is in maintaining the connection; the platform constantly updates it's own application and modifies how it's own data is provided. As an example, UBER recently changed a field called tips to tip, requiring Argyle to modify its software. Each change is small but the changes are frequent.
