3/27 - Call Notes
- Zakk Fleishmann - loves the idea & not a crazy lift which is great
- Allo Protocol:
- one thing to content with is how we’d make this a more continuous funding strategy
- typically has an End date so you can distribute the funds + rule out any bots // sybil attacks
- sounds like Endowment is having a call too where they’ll similarly always be having a round running
- our application product is what communicates the end date
- will have integration w. our Explore page to Allo for voting; a mint for us counting for a vote makes sense
- typically have an application process to be eligible to participate in each round
- people apply
- if they’re accepted, they’re eligible to be voted for
- for most use cases about a quality bar or some sort of qualitative filter
- this is where part of the grant stack would come into play
- next step = a brief diving into this
- grant stack is built on top of allo — so everything in allo is in the grant stack
- Explorer = FE for rounds doesn’t make sense, but manager which is backend
- contracts being audited right now; estimated launch date = 4/11
- couple things lined up for this:
- will immediately turn around and launch a round at the end of April
- they could help spec it out; help provide dev resources; co-market it
Â
- one of the models they’re using here is Nouns:
- they distribute their treasury really quickly through prop house
- you can see the flywheel there
- goal with Allo is specifically building community momentum
Â
- generate protocol fee that gets distributed through Allo — create flywheel effect that
Â
- Zakk on vacay Wednesday to Wednesday
- back half of next week put something on cal to put some
- do a weekly check in call to make sure having things moving along
- Finishing brief — next steps just drop some notes
- then building out a timeline on where we’d get this done
- then get roadmap for the two of us to execute on implementation
- then connect with marketing team to co-brand & makes sense
Â
- we’re only NFT marketplace they’re working with
