Meeting Minutes
Public Library (Linh)
- grow from 10 to 20
- Henry started to stream
- Looking at seeing who should be moderators on the call
- Kris: Twitter spaces? what's the difference between this and library calls
- public goods in general but Gitcoin Public Library help support Alisha and Lani's Twitter spaces + collaborate with DAOs
- simona - had some context because as part of it. suggestion is as we prep for grant rounds we hold Twitter spaces with some notable grantees
- Scott - you want people with public goods context to support and discuss and involve more folks
- good to have people facilitate the call
Treasury (Shreyas)
- move % into stablecoins for Q4 budget, 120k GTC
- Scott: started this workstream ad hoc, now moving into a broader DAO ops. how do we slowly ramp out this workstream to execute on public goods funding. working with GreenDAO, helping them focus on social causes
- main aim for alliances is to get DAOs aligned with Gitcoin's governance and participation to develop the project eg ENS, how we should structure it and then decide on the amount to sort. an amount that gets them excited to participate and contribute
- working with blockchain education network
GR
- cap amount that people can get to 2.5% of pool
- No more categories
- uniswap was first to do their own ecosystem round
- grant round for causes, beyond open source software. eg climate, longevity, advocacy
- longevity is mostly by VitaDAO, on track
- Jihad: Climate round going well. got a workflow going. got some members reached out to support.
- Web3 grantee - teach them about wallets and onboard them. should think about common questions and use that for grants generally. if there's more web2 categories we can work on a common FAQ
Notion on runbook
- Vishnu is working on it to create a runbook on Notion using the TLDR
Q&A
- Ben: Crypto comms on merge
- Trent - issue is timeline and when to start communicating things. cautiously optimistic for merge. longstanding ethereum roadmap piece. Gitcoin can do its part with communicating what POS is what merge is, more than EF's blog post. Needs regular comms.
- Scott - could talk about climate implications with the merge, could talk to Lani about climate comms
- Could start with an infographic
- Implications of the merge on the climate
- David - need help with marketing the Gitcoin trivia contest on Dec 3.
- Simona - Giving Block might have something like this?
- Could help with onboarding
