Overview
We are done with the v0 for the Availability Block feature! Congratulations to us all for the effort. We are currently in the testing phase. The goal here is to test the new feature internally and with users to get their feedback on the usability and usefulness of the product.
The Availability Block feature empowers users to create sophisticated, context-aware scheduling by organizing their availability into distinct, customizable blocks. Rather than having a single, rigid availability schedule, users can now create multiple availability types that reflect the different domains of their life - such as work meetings, family time, client consultations, or personal appointments. Each availability block can be tailored with its own time ranges, timezone settings, and scheduling rules, giving users unprecedented control over how and when they can be booked.
This feature addresses the common pain point where users need different availability patterns for different types of meetings or life contexts. For example, a consultant might have "Client Calls" availability from 9 AM-5 PM EST on weekdays, "Team Meetings" availability from 8 AM-6 PM EST, and "Personal Coaching" availability from 6 PM-8 PM PST on certain days. With Availability Blocks, users can seamlessly manage these complex scheduling needs without the friction of constantly updating a single availability calendar.
