Context on AFC

All for climate —> umbrella org for climate change initiatives in EU

started as a fiscal host for climate change initiatives in EU

130 of them rn —> worked with Greta T, etc.

Now transitioning to a DAO

Trying to solve the problem of Activism and lack of funding

Focused on rebuilding local communities + actually implementing what activists are advocating for

Not much locked in terms of grantees —> Need to figure out how to get grantees on board

Want some Web2 grantees + need to get them set up to take crypto payments

For orgs not crypto savvy - 2 payment options:

Create their own wallet (preferred)

All for Climate is the financial bridge (what's currently happening)

If they don't currently have their own wallet - how will we differentiate how much each project gets if it all goes to the same wallet?

—> Gitcoin has a DB that can track payment amounts

UX problem of having grantees have to pay gas to create a multisig without promise of $$ in the future —> already on a shoestring budget

Value prop for grantees is an easy sell —> free money

Only caveat could be proof of work concerns —> mitigate with PoS soon

Follow up

Need to go thru all the projects to confirm they are in the round —> need why's for each project

All for climate will set up using their github account and then Gitcoin can set up team members on the backend

Need to figure out who will be hosted by AFC and who will be able to host themselves

Ideally we will create a wallet for each grantee
