0:03 -- DAOs in the Downturn: sharing strategies for surviving & thriving in the bear market
Discussion prompt: How is the market downturn affecting you and/or the DAOs your support? What strategies, if any, have you adopted to maintain engagement and forward motion during this time?
Discussion:
  • Josh: Instead of leading into composability and interoperability we need more risk management because composability and interop lead to the downturn.
  • Romain: What’s a DAOs view in terms of priority in terms of balances? Where do they sit in comparison with ops, treasury acquisition.
  • Eugene: This is a good opportunity for purpose reassessment and alignment.
0:18 -- Working Group Updates + Q&A
  • Mendez: Final touches of working paper. Presented at some events last week in NY. Wanting to show to some people and get some positive signals. Will be merging back into reference implementation
  • Luke: DAO API is in functional state. Can be stored on IPFS and our own server.
  • Josh: Reference implementation is live and working for Moloch V3. Next step will be working with DAOHaus to fit into work flow; automatically deployed when people make a DAO with DAOHaus.
0:28 -- DAO Governance Frameworks: exploring best practices for making decisions in DAOs
Discussion prompts:
  1. What leads to good decisions?
  1. What common practices are NOT working well with respect to DAO governance?
  1. What best practices have you identified for making decisions in DAOs?
  1. What next practices are you testing or interested in exploring to make better decisions in DAOs?
0:55 -- Topics for the Future
Prompt: What’s an issue or conversation relevant to the DAO ecosystem that needs more attention than it’s currently getting?
0:60 -- End
