Community Calls & Guest Speakers - Monitor internal comms. Internal opportunities should take priority over external. Why? They made the effort to do DD and reach out to us, they effort shouldn't go un-noticed because we're too busy in other servers. Do we need an internal BD squad?
 
Handoffs and Mentees - Would this be beneficial? Often when viking is asked to speak in other communities, they want to stay in touch and find ways to collaborate. Having a mentee with me to take the relationship over after the talk would free up a lot of bandwidth and capacity, would be valuable training opportunities. What can I do to help?
 
Onboarding - Let's continue to ramp up onboarding capabilities: sniff out inefficiencies and kill them
Suggestions:
  • Talent Scout? Other guilds created this role to develop their onboarding systems and help get new people started - maybe this could be a new role to leverage and get focused? Viking can mentor this person.
  • Mentorship? we could have outbound mentors and operate on the buddy system. As mentees graduate they start taking a mentorship role for 1 or 2 others to pay it forward.
  • Inbound and outbound lead management? Perhaps we could select a lead for an outbound squad to coordinate new people (viking has inbound projects working).
  • Training? Would a video series to intro the guild help? I'm thinking several 3-minute short videos that hit the high points. Should we consider creating a first-quest?
 
Engagement & Tags - why are people not responding to tags?
Gecko & Fonz are doing great, but lots of stuff is going unchecked and missed
Nobody can do it all alone
Stray or Abandoned Opportunities - There are a number of opps in the CRM that may not be underway. We need to snip these to reduce clutter and misunderstanding.
Suggestions
  • Place notice in the #dl_opportunities channel.
  • Nuke anything without an owner - alt suggestion: assign them to new ninjas
  • Leave them in the CRM - let new ninjas just jump in and network for their reports and start filling stuff out

Viking: Focus group started for DAO series
Uniswap - Grants team wants to talk to me about how I've been building community at bankless and look into ways to collaborate - they want to duplicate what we have with UMA. Potential newsletter sponsorship on the line.
Toon's NFT's - scope & squad stage
dOrg - presented on who we are & challenges.
 
Mdiac: Onboarding APE Dao reps to bizdev guild channel.
Nouns DAO: Working with Noun 67 holder on a separate NFT / DAO project. Looking to explore Nouns DAO & Shark DAO challenges and opportunities.
