Outcome: Passed ✅
Outcome Summary
This proposal passed with Option 1 as the selected outcome. FDD will continue administering the funding (Not governing it) and submit budget proposal for full amount to support all DAOops & community streams it is currently supporting.
Proposal
Proposal 1: Decide on splitting from FDD funding for Q4
  1. Option 1 - Have FDD continue administering the funding (Not governing it) and submit budget proposal for full amount to support all DAOops & community streams it is currently supporting
    1. INFO - DAOops Governance squad determines amounts and splits for DAOops, TBD for community but I'd imagine a multisig as oversight
    2. INFO - FDD would then transfer funds to stream multisig when it is ready to spin out
    3. PRO - Buys us time making sure streams are collectively agreed on without rushing
    4. CON - Requires trusting the FDD multisig board to release stream funds
  1. Option 2 - Have each stream (or some of the streams) apply for q4 budget directly to the DAO or start up a new stream to cover all these expenses
    1. INFO - Would require deciding which streams to spin out, agreeing to governance representation, and submitting & passing proposals to get contributors payments after 11.1.21
    2. PRO - FDD won't have "too much"
    3. CON - Might not be able to get funds to pay contributors
    4. CON - If FDD isn't supported in procuring the funds, then they won't have the extra available to step in to support this time
  • Tension: FDD wants to submit its budget proposal and has written the following on it on a blog post that will be published following this meeting.
  • Proposal: Align behind the model proposed in the above excerpt or decide to apply for the streams separately.
  • Clarifying questions:
    • Ryan: not entirely sure option two is feasible - joe agrees
    • Kris: is that budget already defined? coming up in the chat, 2 more weeks
    • Kyle: how much of your Q3 budget is remaining - 258K will be spent, barely over budget
    • Kyle: price range - will do 20 day moving averages for future
    • Kyle: fixed allocation amounts to reward in gtc vs fiat, currently in gtc? joe: no dollar amounts are being used
    • Kyle: what percentage went to DAOop, Community, & User Support streams: 40% went to this
  • Reactions
    • QZ: good that budgets can get approved fast. (we should set this in a timeboxed fashion)
    • Ryan: a timeline for q1 would be good
    • Kris: I think it would be great to do this with funds coming from FDD to keep things easily
    • Kyle: We could also take it from other budgets. Whatever has the easiest way to get approved gets my go.
    • Joe: If we took from other budgets we would still need someone to administer it. That is what FDD is proposing to do.
    • Philip: We could have some funding come from ours.
    • Ryan: Priority is to continue the funding, +1 on what kyle said
    • Kish: Go for option 1 for now
  • Integrated proposal
    • Post our updated proposal today/tmrw.
    • Proposal (Option 1) passed
