New members:
- No new joinees:
- Narcoleptic_chicken - Aron, an attorney from Arizona with 15 years of practice of which 6 in crypto
Newsletter:
- 6 of 7 articles are in
- We are in a good shape as for this issue
- Larry Florio interview won’t happen this issue (general counsel of Terra)
- Tryponotrics will be interviewed in this issue (sorry for the spelling)
- We are some space for more summaries
- Portugal – capital gains from crypto will be taxed
- Lion will write a summary on USDC and USDT
GTG:
- The work on tokenizing the project is almost done
- Front-end and back-end developers are needed to make the tokenization happen
- Tokenization costs about 1 ETH just for a gas fee
- Tokenization on a different L1 (e.g. Polygon) with more friendly transaction fees?
Podcast:
- No. 3 just went live on major audio streaming services
- One more podcast left to be aired
- A couple of others potential guests are lined-up
- Initially the Legal Guild committed to 4 episodes
- Once the fourth episode gets published we can start the discussion on raising funds for next episodes
- We can go retrospectively and include information on sponsors into the episodes that already aired
DAO Entity project update:
- Full grant amount requested has been accepted!
- Framework has to be worked out
- Once the framework is done, people who have volunteered to contribute will be contacted
- The final product will also include taxation
- We could have a discussion on the framework next week
Digital nomads project:
- This project’s idea is already well known to those participating in the Legal Guild
- In a nutshell, deep research on friendly jurisdictions for digital nomads considering working in DAOs / web3
- The final product of this project may be tokenized (access to this research will be accessed through an NFT)
- Contributors could perhaps have a share in revenues the project will bring in through the mint of NFTs
- Tokenization seems like a better model of distribution but it will require a lot of work (it’s like an NFT project)
- Maybe we could bundle together the GTG and Digital nomads projects and offer them in the next seasons through the same NFT (that will reduce work on building infrastructure for minting)
Legal updates:
- Next week we will discuss the bear crypto market from a legal perspective
- Legal guild members are encouraged to speak up
