Welcome to the fourth dedicated meeting of Decentralized Law. We are happy to have everyone! Hirokennelly is the coordinator. He encouraged people to share the recent issue.
- The next issue ships this Wednesday.
- DAOLaw’s article will be used later as articles by other contributors are more topical.
News Articles
- Three news articles have already been selected. Bitfi and Crypto.com theft are interesting topics. A news piece about mixers/tornado cash can be a good idea. Lion will merge both the news pieces. We need 2-3 more news stories.
- LawPanda volunteered to write on “Crypto Insurance Firm Evertas Wins Lloyd’s of London Approval”
- Eagle volunteered to write on “EU Weighs Potential Metaverse Regulation: Report”
- CoysRus volunteered to write on an article related to DeFi.
3/16 Issue
- Interview: Eagle stated that we should interview someone from Kleros (Columbia) and interview Shiv from LexDAO (Law Student from India). Hence, this will prove to be an interesting read. Since we are interviewing students, Eagle suggested that we can put a question like: How is it like to balance law school and and web3?
- Topic: Blockchain Dispute Resolution
- PavLaw suggested a few ideas such as ‘Legal Design’ to include in this issue. ‘Legal Design’ are tools of design thinking to be applied to Legal matters.
- Eagle suggested a topic regarding Future, Approach and Path of tools such as Kleros and Aragon Court. There is no clear indication whether they will be institutions of justice or just a shadow tools for the Blockchain world.
- Troyso is interested in writing an article.
3/2 Issue
- Deadlines for articles is end of next week.
Choosing the Language style for DL
- For the next issue we are going for American style of English.
Welcome of new members
- Pavlaw is interested in Legal Design, he is a lawyer from Ecuador. He runs a Data Protection and Web3 practice.
- GD Discord is a US based attorney.
- Shinobi works for a gaming company in India.
White Paper
- Lion917 will submit DDDDD’s part today. Eagle has read and restructured the documents. The same is now almost ready to ship after final edits.
- Hiro has done 75% of the editing and by this time next week we will be done. Its coming out to be around 12 pages.
- Hiro wants to get the paper read by an experienced white paper writer.
- Eagle is fine having shorter text as long as it does the job.
New Season
- Tax Consultancy (Lion917, TaxPanda): 7 Submissions are pending. NFT design has begun.
Podcast (Comebackkid)
- He is asking for suggestion with respect to interviewees.
- He states that we have different podcast formats for all 4 podcasts.
- Lion suggested that we can interview Jake from law of code podcast.
- Podcast Hatchery are willing to help us.
- Comebackid has created a spreadsheet to budget the episodes.
- Comebackkid has already approached two female lawyers.
- Pavlaw suggested a podcast on anti-trust and Lorena suggested someone for cyber security.
- Eagle suggested we should get sponsors.
News of DAO
- Bankless Consultancy (BC): Omen stated that its going well. Contributors have been bootstrapping the effort. It is a separate legal entity which is world’s first decentralized global consultancy.
- There is brief legal help required.
- Join 5:30 PM EST Monday calls.
- This Friday 9 PM EST, BC will be hosting a twitter space.
- BC is working on a middle east based NFT project.
