- Async discussion on tags
- Content calendar and post scheduling: creating a consistent time frame to publish articles: regional considerations
- How do we measure content quality? Currently, articles are paid out by the word, up to 1500 words. Is this sufficient?
- There was a suggestion to compensate authors based on quality of articles opposed to length of article
- Maybe we could introduce a reach metric? How many views or reads an article receives could determine the payment amount?
- Some metrics that Medium provides is very vague and doesn't give us an accurate assessment
- Ap0ll0 asked if changing the metric to amount of views would delay the author's reward
- ffstrauf suggested a 2 tiered payment system. Like a reward upfront and then the rest as a bonus based on views
- Someone suggested relying on the primary editor to determine the quality of the content on a scale
- A discussion about how we could determine what the standard to measure quality.
- Editors will be subjective as far as what's good quality to them. It could be unfair if 2 different editors rate the same author.
- Sam reminded that the reason this discussion was brought up was because ffstrauf was spending 15 hours on an article but being compensated less than an editor who spends less time editing the article
- Jake and Stake suggested we could increase compensation for writers and decrease compensation for editors
- Also frame writers pay based on what type of article it is: opinion, technical, or heavy reporting
- Part of the compensation mechanism could be per word and the other part could be based on views
- links also suggested having a bonus pool for writers to receive a portion of based on the amount of views their articles generate
- Samantha suggested we start a doc to continue fleshing out these ideas
- Quuu.co
- Sponsorships?

- Sam's initial search results said no we can not - found here
- We may be able to use our own website as our blog home to house submission and still capture sponsorship revenue
