Agenda
NEW GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK
  • Governance Doc Review
    • 1 requirement to maintain/attain scribe status
      • Passing the Writing/Editing tests don’t count
      • Role holders do not have to complete this task
    • Cumulatively increase threshold for Lazy Consensus
      • >51%, >61%, >71%, >81%, >91%, >95%
        • Threshold increases with each season incumbent holds position
      • The overhead on a system like this would be high. Should we follow the KISS methodology?
        • Lazy consensus (1 week)
          • >0% —> nomination/election time
          • Nominee must be announced at the same time
        • Nomination + Election period (1 week each)
        • Consecutive 4 season term limit?
          • Hiro, FreedomFighter, and Ap0ll0 agree with term limits
          • How long is long enough to make a mark on the Guild? (Effectiveness)
            • With effective leadership
          • How long is too long? (Ossification of the Guild)
          • Role holders can serve for 4 seasons but cannot serve for a 5th. After the season has passed, they may hold the office for another maximum of 4 seasons
          • How do we maintain the transfer of knowledge?
            • Use the Bounty Pool to train other people
            • Documentation
      • Notion page for tenure history
  • Plagiarized work
    • What’s the process for discovering plagiarism?
    • What is the process of deliberation?
      • Chain of evaluation:
        • Leaders in respective projects
        • EPA Staff Editors
        • Ombuds
      • If found guilty —> kicked out of the Guild
      • “2 strikes and you’re out” system
        • Scribe —> Scribbler —> Kicked out
  • Ratification
    • Put it up to a Poll
  • Governance Coordinator
    • Election for Governance Coordinator
