Mental health is a term that refers to someone's psychological and emotional well-being. It can affect one's thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and sense of well-being.
The mental health orientation is the person's relationship with their mental health and how they view it. There are three orientations:
The first orientation is the wellness orientation where people have a positive relationship with their mental health. The second orientation is the illness orientation where people have a negative relationship with their mental health. The third orientation is the recovery orientation where people are working towards improving their mental health status for themselves or for those around them.
