Outcome Summary
This proposal passed, and CSDO will ratify the foreword of the Regenerative Cryptoeconomics book.
Proposal
Proposal 1 -
- Tension:
- I (Kevin) am writing a book about regenerative cryptoeconomics.
- I want to prominently feature GitcoinDAO in the book and have arranged for the DAO to write a foreword to the book (alongside Vitalik Buterin, Glen Weyl, Balaji Sverison, and others).
- I do not speak for the DAO itself, nor do any of us. We are just nodes in the network. Therefore the legitimacy of the foreword I’ve drafted is in question.
- I need to ship this book to the printers in time for ETHDenver (planning on shipping soon).
- I tried to cobble together a foreword that i think i has a high lindey effect (derived from simonas ‘vision’ post, and kevins what is gitcoin tldr post, both of which have been on the forum for a while. But the tension still remains.
- Proposal:
- I propose that CSDO Ratify the Foreword by the GitcoinDAO in Kevins Regen Crypto Book: https://gov.gitcoin.co/t/regen-cryptoeconomics-book-foreword-by-gitcoindao/9711/5
- Clarifying Questions:
- Loie: When does it need to be done? The next 24h
- Loie/Kyle: Incorporate kyle’s feedback? Commented on it
- Reactions:
- Philip: I like ‘we are gitcoin’. It is pieces that come from the community. I like it.
- Joe: No problems, I like it.
- Loie: Didn’t realize it was already on the forum. Bit too late to stop but I think it could work.
- Annika: wording captures the ethos of the dao. We should think more about gitcoin vs gitcoindao
- Laura: no meaningful comment on this. Inspiring and not ‘risky’ to use this.
- Sean: Supportive
- Kris: Supportive, not posted too late.
- Amendment notes:
- Change to gitcoindao
- Wiggle room to integrate kyle’s grammatical feedback + grant detail
- Objections:
- One sentence ‘by the public’ this sentence needs to be split -
- Proposal passed?
- Yes
