Priorities, Realities, Opportunities, Path
- Situation: The situation is the background study that helps the team to understand the reasons behind the current requirement to act.
We have a lot of moving pieces in DAOLationships; the majority of which aren't in our control. Due to the late formation of the guild (in relation to the DAO as a whole), there isn't really a unified system or process. The DAO is realizing our potential, and they're starting to ask for help and clarity coordinating all this - we are moving into a next evolution.
There are a dozen or so DAOLationship threads in our channel - these represent idle talent and revenue pools. Getting these wonderful folk engaged in bdao is critical for the viability and success of our long term plans.
These relationships could be helping drive our mission: helping on projects and initiatives, assisting in revenue, etc.
We also must be creating an environment which is collaborative and open enough to make them want to engage and participate back here with us.
There's an abundance of ways to accomplish this: DAO2DAO hangouts, ecosystem hangouts, governance chats, etc.
While the overall project can be run by a champion, I believe that segregating certain pieces off to be managed by their own champion would be key. Example: DAO Ecosystem hangouts and DAO Governance chats are a lot for a single person to be coordinating and prepping - perhaps smaller squads for certain initiatives would be most appropriate.
- Mission: The mission is a specific statement of what you intend to accomplish, where, when, and the measure of success. The mission statement with an end state goal should be written in SMARTP language.
To establish Bankless DAO as the premier collaborative environment for media, education and culture to aid adoption of crypto with 1 billion users.
To further ignite the momentum towards our goal we can be lifting up our peers.
- Running educational series such as governance and tokenomics talks
- Multi-coin airdrops for call participants
- Kick off event similar to what Gitcoin did a few weeks back with their airdrop.
- Approach DAOPlomats/DAOLationships for donations for the airdrop to kick off the initiative. To claim, and provide cybil resistance, would need to be verified on BrightID to claim so nobody abuses the system.
- Then going forward would be weekly POAP's
- Maybe hire SurfTranquille for some stunning animated POAP's for the calls
- These airdrop campaigns would be seasonal and sparse, we don't want people showing up just to be kangaroos and collect free stuff without providing value. Would need to define some KPI's around future drops.
- POAP
- Running collaborative calls for our peers to discuss challenges & solutions
- Create a space to share talent (freelancers), help our talent earn a living and thrive
Measurements: call attendance, # of DAO's participating, participation/engagement growth
Time-Frame: Jan 1, 2022 to know if the MVP is viable.
- Execution: The execution part defines how the mission will be accomplished. The execution also specifies the involvement of others, your course of action, your intended resources, and your Plan B.
Required guilds: ?
Course of action: rally a squad - what would be the most effective players from the guild for the team with me?
Champion: Coach Viking
Resources: ?
Plan b: ?
- Administration & Logistics: the administration section of the plan defines the administrative and logistical details that must be coordinated prior to and during the execution of the mission or project.
Agendas & call formats
Donations from collaborators for kick-off airdrop?
Call frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, semi-monthly, etc) suggest monthly or 2x monthly to mitigate drain on respective ecosystems
Can be hosted in discord or twitter spaces, each series can be hosted in a different server to cross pollinate organizations
1 series to be aimed at collectively solving common problems (semi-formal), and a more casual series aimed at creating a space for us all to simply be human beings and hang out. Any suggestions that wouldn't fall into either of these scopes are candidates for more series, help us reach wider audiences
Can be used to create micro content for all parties
Call types
Promotions - giveaways - incentives
- Command and control: the command and control specify who's in charge, who reports to whom, and when they report as well as the format for reporting. So many missions and projects fail due to poor communication and account- ability. The SMEAC process makes a terrific one-page project or business planning tool. Both this and the OODA Loop mental models are simple and elective tools that provide a standard operating procedure to quickly analyze large volumes of information and make wise decisions.
Project Members:
Champion: Coach Viking (will also coordinate the DAO's hangouts)
Co-champion?

PROP
• Priorities: what are the key priorities that are driving your mission?
Nurture relationships for the DAO
Position ourselves as the premier collaborative environment in the DAO space
Leverage existing relationships to drive revenue for the DAO
Create new revenue streams
Shine awareness on projects within our respective ecosystems
• Realities: what are the ground truth realities you are facing, and what impact do they have on your options?
Less than ideal engagement
Lack of awareness around solutions we provide
Lack of coordinated effort to nurture and strengthen existing relationships
DAO's have common problems - common problems we can solve as a collective
All DAO's feel like they don't have enough talent to grow - shared talent pools (freelancers) can mitigate this
• Options: list the most compelling options for a way forward that you and your team have come up with.
• Plan/Path: what is the plan you decided on? What is the best path forward?
