I Should Take Part because...
You're interested in learning more about token engineering and the time suits you! 🙂
If you're in London and you only have time for fortnightly study sessions -- then this group will suit you perfectly! And if you're not in London and prefer weekly sessions - we've also got you covered! 😎 The study sessions will be online, and apart from the main sessions every other week, on the "off weeks" we will have special topic sessions.
Feel free to drop by just to say hi, or just for the special topics! 😊
How to Prepare/ Pre Requisites
Best way to prepare for the sessions is by reading study materials, bringing questions and being ready to discuss/share.
About
This group has 2 hosts now! 😎😎
Your host Zaremba:
Hi there! I'm Zaremba (they/them) and I'm a researcher with experience in academia and industry in the areas of the data science, machine learning, crypto economy, statistical and financial modelling. I'm starting this group because I want the token engineering community to grow, and the language and the ideas of token engineering to spread! I'm currently based in London, and the idea for the flexible format of the study group was inspired by conversations with people from the London web3 community.
Your host Rand:
Web 3.0 researcher, vc analyst at 3x capital & token engineer.
Interested in tokenomics design.
🤗
The plan is this:
→ Main sessions every other week, following material from the TE Fundamentals modules.
→ On the "off weeks" there will be sessions on special topics, ranging from introduction to tools for token engineering (Python, Machinations, cadCAD) and supplementary math, to discussions on specific projects or design solutions.
The agenda will be published several weeks in advance.

Game Theory, 19th May
Game Theory in practice: Olympus DAO
In this session, we were discussing elements of game theoretical setting, practicing our understanding of Nash equilibrium and Pareto optimality, so that we are in a better position to use these concepts for designing token economies and incentive structures. We started to look at examples of the paper-rock-scissor game model in Machinations. In the next session on the topic, we will continue with that model, and we will move to exploring Olympus DAO.
📓 notes
GMX and tokenomics design framework part 2, meeting from 30th June
😬 sorry, no notes or recordings!
Module 3, meeting on 14th July
We talked about liquidity pools and popular metrics such as slippage and impermanent loss, and less popular metrics like LVR (loss-versus-rebalancing)
