Questions for Contributors

Hello! I'm working on improving GitcoinDAO's Notion and I've some questions for you. It should take approximately 15 minutes to complete! (6 questions *~2 minutes). I'm asking for your help because you're an active contributor to GitcoinDAO and have sufficient context.
Our eventual goal is to make it easier for contributors to... contribute to GitcoinDAO!
 
  1. How would you describe your role in GitcoinDAO?

  1. 3. What resources do you look for when you first join a DAO? There are several things: a. Vision/Values for DAO, I need to know if my values are aligned with this DAO b. How could I involve in a DAO? a brief instruction.

What would you like to see improved? some rules should be emerged about how to use notion as basis tool.

  1. Do you work for more than one DAO? If you do how do you manage the context switching? No
  1. What resources do you look for when you first join a DAO? Clear roles and tasks that are aligned with my skillset. Place where I can join the conversations related to these (chat and meetings)
  1. When did you first encounter GitcoinDAO's Notion?
    1. How did you use GitcoinDAO's notion For taking notes
    2. What would you like to see improved? Clear simple structure, clear naming, see available jobs and tasks, find notes per Workstream easily. Hide contributor lists and dao actions in there and other things no one needs to see or use. Abolish comments use in notion tasks. (creates endless stream of mails and not practical) See more in our meeting notes

  1. 1. I feel im more on creativer side at the Gitcoin but recently was selected to run the events.
  1. I work for GitcoinDAO and researching other DAO's as well in terms of amanaging and how things work
  1. I join Gitcoin after I was completing bounties on Gitcoin website
  1. Im still learning about the Notion, its kinda easy and complex at the same time.
  1. I use Discord primarily, also Google/Zomm meeting but its harder as i dont know peoples emails.
  1. I use Illustrator as my primarily software i work with.
Sidenote: respondee got stuck trying to create a calendar on Notion for events

  1. I'm coordinator / head of OPS at Moonshot Collective, and as part of that role I participate in DAO OPS (I was 'driving' DAO OPS to start but I'm happy it's getting enough momentum to need less of my direct direction) and I work with other workstream OPS teams like MMM and PG
  1. Just GitcoinDAO Isn't that already too much?
  1. Honestly, the pure true faith. I want to know "Is this lies and scams like the rest? Are these people honest to their mission?"
  1. regarding notion - I don't like it at all, and every time I interact with it in any way it gives me a headache and I wish it would all just go away

  1. I am part of MMM, specifically I am a meme creator (i try to make atleast 1 per day- although i wasnt able to on some days) and i also have a card game project in development
  1. No, I work only for GitcoinDAO since i also have a day job (and balancing this is honestly hard already, so if I was working for another DAO i wouldnt be able to contribute enough.
  1. When i joined Gitcoin i actually wasnt looking for any resources, Ive seen the what Gitcoin stands for and i liked the message so i joined
  1. Im honestly not sure when i first encountered it (if the MMM sub-notion counts then a few months ago)
    1. I use it to keep track of all the projects that are going on
    2. There probably is room for some improvement (like with everything), but honestly i cant find any obvious mistakes that would need to be fixed
  1. I mostly communicate on Discord and a little bit on telegram, and i follow most of the contributors on twitter so i see if there are any news

2. Do you work for more than one DAO? If you do how do you manage the context switching?
I do not participate in other DAOs currently. I feel overwhelmed and behind alot of the time just being involved with one. I don’t know if I would be able to manage multiple unless the roles were minor.
3. What resources do you look for when you first join a DAO?
I haven’t dug around much but what intrigues me about certain DAOs initially are the branding and mission. I want to work with people who care about others. Being in crypto/web3 spaces for me is about community and innovation towards making life better for others.

As it was being introduced.

We use it to update our happenings of the workstream thru notes, calendar, task list, etc…
I use it to keep up with other workstreams and events within the DAO. 2. What would you like to see improved?
I would like it to be more visual. Which is something MMM can contribute to. I’m not a notion expert so I don’t actually know what’s possible, design-wise.
