How to Map Bankless DAO

To start mapping, first a contributor has to join a Sobol Editor Training Course and get the Sobol Editor tag in discord. The tag is manually assigned to the contributors completed the training. 

After getting the tag, you can go to our Dework task board and apply for a mapping task that are listed in the To-Do section of the board. Invite link to Season 9 board

The applications will be reviewed by the bounty admin role holder. The applicants who are active in the teams that they want to map will be prioritized, if there is more then one applicant and all of them are active in the team to be mapped, first applicant to apply will be assigned to the task.

Tasks should be finished in 10 days after being assigned. The tasks that are not finished in due time will be carried back to TO-DO section and opened to other Sobol Editors.

In BanklessDAO we are almost always able to get the necessary information about the Teams, sub-teams, roles and role holders from the above mentioned sources. It is highly recommended to search through these resources before start asking questions to the team members. 

If there is a lack of information in these resources, you can ask the Team for a contributor to help you with your questions. We call this contributor a “guild contact” and there is a bounty for the guild contact for helping the mapping efforts. Invite the contributor to the board by sending them the task link and explain to apply for the “Guild Contact Sub-Task”.  DO NOT CLAIM this bounty yourself. If you are active in the team and do not need a contact, leave the sub-task empty.

After the mapping is done, a good practice is to send the “team structure link” to the team in their public discord channel and ask their opinion if the mapping is correct. Tag the reviewer of your task in the chat so they can follow and approve your task faster. You can copy the link from the top right corner of the team profile page.

Member profile information is becoming more important with every new version of Sobol. Encourage the members of the teams to connect and share their wallet, and fill the rest of their profile information. 

Definition of Done

The Sobol Editor who is done mapping should make a comment in their submission about what updates were done with a link to the structure.

The reviewer should verify with the team in the teams discord channel with a public post including a screenshot of the finished map, if the updates are correct.Check if the team name is correct.
Check the if the map has all the sub-teams
Check the if the map has all the roles
Check the if all the roles are filled with the right contributors.
Check the if the profile pages are filled for the team, sub-teams and roles. (Descriptions, multi-sig, links to notion or social etc)DeWork is integrated with coordinape your finished tasks will be visible in your coordinape card.
Check if the team and role mappings were accurate.
If there is more than 1 role to a work stream, use a Team circle to include all the roles that are related.
Even if the Team is defined as a “work stream” if it has only 1 role in it, keep it as a role.
 

Remuneration

Each task has a base bounty defined on it. 

Contributors will have the right to join the Cartographers Coordinape if their updates are finished and gets approved. DeWork is integrated with coordinape your finished tasks will be visible in your coordinape card. Coordinape will be held at the end of the season. The contributors who have done actual mapping tasks will be able to receive GIVE tokens. The distribution of the GIVE tokens will be done by the work stream role holders and the DAO Cartographers.

The distribution of the base bounties will be done by the accounting role holder at the same time with the coordinape. Every Sobol editor has to fill out their Sobol profiles to be eligible to get the remuneration since the wallet address defined in the contributor profile page will be used.
