- Brief Discussion with respect to legal guild governance and updating the roles on legal guild Notion doc. The entire meeting was around the newsletter.
- eth 🏴#0001 (new to the legal guild) introduced himself as a practicing US attorney (insolvency and litigation strategy) and a writer. He works for writer’s guild as well. He is here to help with the newsletter as well.
- Eagle proposed that hirokennelly.eth 🏴#0001 could write on bankruptcy of DAOs. Eagle explained the same using the COVER protocol example. Eagle proposed that hirokennelly.eth 🏴#0001 can help in the editing of the newsletter.'
- Eagle shared a rough draft of the newsletter. The newsletter has the following sections:
- Introduction: General awareness and the reason behind the newsletter (By Eagle)
- Interview: Sarah Brennon (An interview with her will be beneficial with respect to reflecting diversity)
- Regulation: Defining a Regulatory Approach for the Blockchain Ecosystem (By Eagle)
- Legal News: Basically, general web links about updates.
- Tax Corner: Topic is undecided (By Taxpanda & Bauhaus). Eagle proposed that the topic should be globally applicable.
- Development:
- Recent China Ban (by jalaj719)
- Dual Currency Regime and China's Use of Mobile Wallets (By Drlau)Third piece is undecided.
- Eagle (with Taxpanda) will provide proper budgeting with respect to the newsletter. We have around $ 10,000 USD for the three issues. We already have 1 sponsor. SchwarzeKatze#1804 is also trying to source more sponsors. SchwarzeKatze#1804 is the project manager for the newsletter.
- Eagle proposed that we can publish our newsletter on Substack and Mirror (mirror publication can be monetized as well.). The aim of the newsletter is to address issues with respect to DAOs. It can also be about general issues.
- Deadline: The internal deadline for article submission and collation is 17.10.2021. The internal deadline for the subsequent months shall be 15 for every month. The external deadline can be somewhere between 2024 of the month.
- DAO News: On 08.10.2021 we have an event with respect to season 2 of the DAO.
- SchwarzeKatze#1804 volunteered to be an ombudsman.
- The discussion around the white paper will take place next week.
