Agenda
- Seasonal funding strategy
- Incubator proposal
- Grants committee mandate/purpose
- Seasonal funding strategy
- 2 new entities: departments and guilds (member calculations)
- links: ways of member calculations should be reviewed by the GC
- giving guidance for guilds on which goals to work on
- Lion: law guild is mostly consistent of members
- paul: Translators guild’s active members are translators and people that significantly contributed to projects
- acitive member calculation either
- #1 total number of active members of most recent season
- #2 average of the previous two seasons
let’s agree to some principles that we can use when reviewing proposals!
principles of active members - these are ONLY guidelines, we should be pretty loose for guilds this season since it’s a new process
- review the previous 2 season’s budget compared to this season, and see if there is a massive discrepancy (i.e. >20%)
- principle of recency - your active contributors should count only people who have contributed in the last 3 months
- maybe an average (not sum!) for the last 2 season is ok
Should guild coordinators be discussing what active membership means?
- can we create a channel for cross-guild discussion about this?
principles of department budgets - i.e. what is a detailed accounting? what is required
- what is the bare minimum information required for the detailed accounting for the previous season?
- a list of multisig transacations
- with amounts (in and out)
- receipients/senders
- reason for transaction
- the treasury department is creating an accounting template for use across the DAO
- they are dogfooding this within the treasury guild right now
- could probably create a loom to help departments with this
