Community Bulletin - What should we know?

Role Holder Updates:
South Wind:
- On our last office hour the only member that attended was Kolaaade.
- Our next office hour would be tomorrow at 5pm UTC
- For members of the guild that needs clarifications on the dework tasks, join us at our office hour tomorrow so we can get you up and running.
East Wind:
- Projects have been presented to the guild. I’ve noticed a pattern of people jumping on and stating their interest, and doing nothing as a result.
- Paid Governance is Good Governance
- Researching Alternative Products to Figjam and Miro
- HealthBot/RnDAO/Health Chatter partnership
- Learner tasks are available on DeWork. Role Holders need to make sure that they (not dissimilar from Ernests comments form last season) need to keep their tasks update.

for the correction suggestion on one of the tasks that I posted on dework. This has inspired me to come up with a new task. I will post that task in the link.
West Wind:
- The Practitioner tasks is up on de-work, three of them.
- Three tasks which will be verified by SpiritedF and crown
- The north pod should work on the research start here page
North Wind:
- Office hour is on Tuesday 9 pm UTC
- Steward task is now available practitioners
- The task is to be the lead of a workgroup and the group must be recognized

Godwithus facilitated the meeting. He welcomed everyone and asked about how the members of the guild spent the weekend, Ghabby responded that, he spent the weekend indoor learning some stuffs.
Role Holders Update.
South wind
Cellevista gave the update about the South wind and the last onboarding session was with Kolaade and he was lectured on the roles in research guild.
He said the onboarding session holds every Tuesday by 9PM UTC.
East wind
ETrinity said there a lots of projects in the guild which members are not taking up, members are expected to pick a research project to work on, he continued by saying the learner task is available on Dework for qualified members and implored members to take on tasks which will qualify them for next role.
West wind
SpiritedF said practitioners tasks are now available on dework and that there are three of them, qualified folks should take them and make sure they submit them.. SpiritedF said he beseech the Northwind board in charge of Governance to work on research start here page by incorporating notion, weekly sync in the channel and make information to be sufficient especially for the new joiners.
SpiritedF also said he will tag all members for education sessions for more active participation and enjoin members to join the meeting since not much people are showing interests.
Northwind update.
Latsan made an update on the north wind and said steward’s tasks are available for qualified practitioners and a practitioner is expected to be a leader or a group before becoming a steward.
And said for steward’s tasks, only the core contributors which don't usually exceed 2 members.
SpiritedF said to be a steward doesn't need to be a major Contributor in a work group and proceed by saying "a practitioners that will qualify for stewards should not be only the leader of a group and the fact that in a group, there will be active contributors and those who have contributed can also be moved to stewardship roles and must create and own a workgroup.
Cellevista asked if role holders should automatically become a steward and SpiritedF responded that a poll was conducted in previous season on what cellevista Said and members voted NO.
Latsan typed in the chat channel and said poll was conducted last season on same issue and role holders should not become a steward.
Deewon asked Latsan if he meant that each practitioner must come up with a workgroup?
Alloy said base on his personal perception on what Latsan meant is that, the lack of active participation of members in a project gave birth to the core 2 members mentioned by Latsan.
SpiritedF told Latsan to work on that and said it's not possible for all practitioners qualified for stewardship roles to create a workgroup and he suggested that, if a member is committed to a project, he is contributor and should be able to qualify for steward.
Latsan responded in chat channel and said, for the research guild itself, we had just 8 steward, and proceeded that a subgroup should not have too many stewards and taking a task in a workgroup doesn't make you the steward of that group.
And he said also that everybody cannot be a role holder and everybody cannot a steward and said since we are reducing amount for Coordinape, the guild can start given out bounties as other guilds.
ETrinity said as much as he understands that we're trying to promote workgroup creation and activities, inside workgroup, is this really the only/right way to go about it.
Latsan asked a question on if there is a steward in last season and have no progress in research nor given update on his workgroup in this current season, should such steward be remaining as steward or should be demoted?
SpiritedF answered and said, since a new joiners cannot be demoted, it becomes unfair if a steward or practitioners is demoted.
Latsan responded by saying, a new joiner can only receive gift and cannot share, learner only get onboarded and cannot be demote.
He said further that, practitioners take tasks on Dework and if after a season you don't take any work, you should be demote since Coordinape is meant for those that works and contributed (Coordinape is reward of active members). He continued and said, a steward last season with no update should not retain his position.
SpiritedF suggested that a poll the discussion should be subject to a poll so other members can agree and disagree.
Latsan Said, if we set a poll, it means a steward from season 6 will continue with no update till season 10 and be receiving coordinape doing nothing.
SpiritedF responded and said, since a task is completed to ascend a steward’s role, they should not be demoted.
Ernest of Gaia said, if you complete the work of the role, you advanced and if you don't complete the work of the role, you move backwards. You can go higher than steward and you can't go lower than new joiner. The tasks on Dework required for each role increase in difficulty and the amount of time it takes to complete tasks as the role advance. And proceeded with anyone can start a research interest or workgroup if the role holders are not doing research, they also are only doing the minimal in their contributions to the guild and will not be able to maintain a steward status. Role holders to get credit for their involvement however.
ScAr said in the chat channel that, according to Dework system, each roles has a specific task to carry out, so basically restricting work to a limited role. He also said, you can't expect folks in Lerner roles to start up a work group knowing their work won't be recognized because they are restricted within a role, and it's not in their designated tasks.
Ernest of Gaia responded to ScAr and Said, after they spend enough time doing other learner tasks, they should learn what they needed to do that. And that's why there is note taking, facilitating meetings and the building of agendas because you need to know how to do those things to be able to steward a project.
SpiritedF asked for the coordinape of this month and Latsan Said the form will be out by Friday.
Godwithus moved motion for adjournment of the meeting and it was seconded by SpiritedF.
