DAOstar Strategy

Descriptions of the entities:
  • Strike Team: “core developers”, but we are hiring some marketing & business development to support standards adoption, so this is transitioning into a core team with a broad set of capacities
  • DAOstar One / DAOstar Foundation
  • DAOstar Working Groups: these are various working groups, currently 3 active
  • DAOstar Two (DAO of all EIP-4824 DAOs, this is a future initiative)
  • Metagov
Mission
The goal of DAOstar, as a project, is to build and promote the adoption of open, interoperable standards in the DAO ecosystem. More broadly, the goal is to facilitate more collaboration and coordination between DAOs, DAO tooling providers, and other stakeholders across the DAO ecosystem.
Of note, Metagov’s mission here is to promote the DAO ecosystem as a potential “governance layer for the internet”.

Of note, there needs to be a relationship between the foundation and the core devs, possibly contractor with these? Grants can be complicated. Some core devs are grants and others are contractors, and yet others are grant-giving bodies of their own (which can lead to double-paying).
Pay for someone to write funding applications in advance, to get a 200k budget? To get someone good, you need 500k already committed—want a runway?
Position is designed to be occupied by someone who is either retired and able to work.
