Meeting Attendees
Our Priority Workshops are Kanban Meetings where we discuss, develop plans, and commit to action items. All ACTIVE guild members are invited to attend the priority meetings.
Our Bi-Weekly Check-ins (syncs) are update meetings from role holders and any research project updates. Bi-weekly Check-Ins have an open invitation to all bDAO members to attend and to contribute to the building of the Agenda by providing written or verbal updates on research needs, opportunities, and projects.

Retrospective

Things that moved us forward
The governance doc in line with the new member base funding
We had an effective way to resolve misunderstandings without having to consult the ombuds.
Dework activities and a way of tracking activities.
The grouping of activity status into four distinct groups
Dework tracking of member activity
education in how to better do research has been helpful for me in understanding research methodologies and how to analyze data and create survey
Things that held us back
Lots of activities dework can be discouraging
ineffective role holder performance and attendance
Ineffective communication of roles at some point in the season
Implimentation of Dework, worked in the end but took a whole lot of time to actually understand how it ties to our governance process.
Not a clear understanding of how to use dework
role holders not preparing ahead
How could we do things differently
not elect folks that cannot meet the obligations of the role
role holders can report their activity and the activity of the members participating in their pods. No report = no activity = no pay
Role holders should take attendance of weekly call seriously and there should be call upon when they miss about 4 conservative meeting without any excuse
Ensure that all workgroups function optimally
Ensure that all role holders are held accountable for any lapse in fulfilling their roles
We can dedicated a role holder to be filling in activities of individuals to give members ample time to learn
revise dework tasks and spend time understanding dework
I will say season 6 is the learning period, but season 7 should be a doing period.
Every members must be ready to work, and help responsible if they slag.
It is also compulsory all role holders attend the weekly sync and give updates, if you can't show up, drop a message prior. If that isn't done, the role-holder will be penalised.
Punishment for slaging role-holders should be included in the governance doc, but it should be structured properly (we are humans, mental health first).
If we want active participation, we can't pause or stop our coordinape. It has to be reward system for our members, getting up on de-work and completing task, it might not work in other guild/department, but research has done a great work on integrating it with dework, we've got to make it more efficient
We should look more into what's gonna bring revenue for research guild and banklessDao.
What should we do next?
I will propose Ernest continue to champion the de-work integration with coordinape test/project. And all role-holders support him.
Since he hasn't been in charge, things aren't running smoothly, and no proper guidance for folks.
There has been reduction in folks working on task since Ernest stop championing it. (No more guidance, like we have before)
