Process
One submission per editor.
Stage 1: Each editor does a read through on their own and makes light grammatical and spelling edits. This first read should determine:
- what level the piece should be categorized, ie. beginner, intermediate, etc., and
- if the submission is in good condition to be reviewed. Problematic pieces at this level should be returned to the author.
The article then moves on to Stage 2.
Stage 2: The primary editor reviews the Editing Framework (linked above) and begins the process of highlighting terms and discussing how best to implement the guidelines provided by the Editing Framework.
The article then moves on to Author Review.
Author Review: Author reviews changes and accepts/rejects suggestions.
When the author is ready, the article then moves on to Stage 3.
Stage 3: A secondary editor reviews the article and provides any final clarification and edits.
Upon the completion of Stage 3, congratulate each other on a job well done.
