Agenda

  • Secretary - Fintan

Fintan: No too bad, keen to push our project forward
Paolo: Doing well!
Aaron:
Brent: Was sick, better now, cleaned my Jeep finally
Spectra:
2. Strategic Meeting
1.0 POC Updates
1.1 Post-POC Write up
Latest analysis by Fabs:
New stakeholder surveys *** What do we want to learn from each stakeholder group:
Management: Do they feel they are in touch with needs of students? How willing are you to changing school rules if student body request changes? What are barriers to allowing students unlimited freedom?
Teachers: How important is it for students to organize themselves? Do you feel students know what is good for them? Frustrations with management for getting things that would make students life better and not get done?
Parents: Supportive of the kids to have a ‘voting’ tools
2.0 Next POC
2.1 Objectives
  • onboarding
  • Gamified learning
  • Operational logistics (access to students)
  • Dr Dam meeting update
Are we going to continue with Granada Hills?
  • Ask Dr. Dam to find budget - potentially, based on stem class funds. Otherwise we need to source elsewhere (forwards from her on server)
  • What’s going to be the motivation of the students?
  • Can we have better access to the student body? Potentially, need sign-off from tech dept, she said she would enquire
  • Is any more commitment we can get from administration and IT? Suggested surveys to show support for initiative
  • Can we get students to get credits for joining this POC? Yes, automatic via stem class. She could also provide in her classes, need to plan for next semester
  • What’s the process of hearning back from the administration and how is she delivering the proposal? Will the administration respond to the students somehow?
Product:
  • Long term: set up a DAO and have a web interface
  • Learning on DAOs (built on testnet)
  • Paid version: you can manage subscription and store funds
  • Have our own sidechain or blockchain with no fees (reason: risk. Our chain would be incompatible with others, so nobody else could access, no spam no scam
  • Connect actions on the POC with credits
Motivation: before we commit to do anything we need to have a demand from them, at least having the capability.
What do we want to learn out of a second POC?
  • Can we make a seamless onboarding and get students voting as a matter of habit?
How long does it take to get an MPV? Brent: two to three months
How can we get devs if we don’t have money to pay them? Brent spoke with Carla, she needs a job.
3.0 Product development
  • Analysis of the user stories
  • We’ll work on this offsynch
4.0 Operating Structure:
4.1 Suggested: US based LLC, converted to DAO
  • Non profit vs. Profit NLC.
  • For profit would give us better options of getting VC money. Wyoming or Delaware LLC.
  • Multi-member LLC
4.2 Ownership & recruitment
  • We need to fill the holes in our skillset
  • Overall Lead
  • Tech Lead
  • Ops Lead
  • Growth Marketing and Sales
  • Learning Program Lead

Ask to people if they’re interested in joining for a stake in the business

  • For now, one person one vote
