Onboarding Part 1 of 4: Action Items (Old)
Hey there,
Welcome to the BanklessDAO Writers Cohort.
We’re so excited to get started on this journey.
The BanklessDAO Writers Cohort is simple:
- Write and publish a 1000-word post every week for 4 weeks
- Give feedback and discuss your writing live on Zoom and in Discord
While the structure is simple, the impact is huge:
- Gain the confidence to publish your writing
- Grow and strengthen relationships with other BanklessDAO members
- Learn about web3 topics through writing (clear writing = clear thinking)
- Further the BanklessDAO mission by generating web3 content

⏭ What to Expect During Onboarding:
Prior to our Kickoff Meetup on Tuesday, November 22nd at 1 PM ET (check your timezone), we will send 4 emails in 4 days to share some logistical details:
- Onboarding Part 1 of 4: Welcome and Action Items
- Onboarding Part 2 of 4: How to Make The Most of the BanklessDAO Writers Cohort
- Onboarding Part 3 of 4: Weekly Workflow
- Onboarding Part 4 of 4: Leaderboard and Competitions
We’ll also ask you to complete a few Action Items prior to Kickoff so we can focus on writing once the cohort starts.
✅ Action Items Prior to Cohort Start:
- Complete the BanklessDAO Writers Cohort Onboarding Survey
- Join the #writers-cohort channel and send an introduction using the introduction template: Introductions Template
- Register for Kickoff Meetup on Wednesday, July 19th at 2 PM ET

⚡️12 Writing Tips
As a supplement to the cohort onboarding emails, we’ll be sending a separate series of writing tips.
These tips will help you become a better writer.
However, you don’t need them to get started.
The most important part of the cohort is taking action and publishing!
Almost time to start writing! 🚀
