Program Justification:
Organizing & moderating weekly meetings is a task worthy of a formal role & compensation. Moreover, the guild requires representation in weekly Community Calls as well as general responsibility with regard to Notion, Discord, and as a reliable point of contact for internal & external affairs.
This labor is necessary for the continued organization of the guild and ultimately the progress of the DAO.
We must ratify a Guild Organizer role to handle these responsibilities and compensate it appropriately.
Program Terms
In order to ensure better meeting management, note taking, and information distribution, we propose a “Guild Organizer” role be created and funded.
The role would exist for a trial period lasting for Season 1 and require renewal or otherwise be more firmly instantiated.
Responsibilities/Domain
  • Be a reliable point of contact for internal & external affairs
  • Maintain a weekly agenda
  • Facilitate weekly guild meetings
    • Manage meeting setup & calendar event
    • Event reminders
    • Moderating meeting flow & agenda
  • Editorialize a Weekly Guild Update column
  • Publish & distribute the Weekly Guild Update
  • Represent the guild during DAO Community Calls
  • Welcome & direct new members
  • Moderate discord channels
  • Maintain the Guild’s Notion pages
Payment
  • Salary
    • Hours per week: 10
    • Hours per season: 120 (max)
      • As this role would be created mid season, take the remainder of weeks instead.
    • Hourly rate: 1000 BANK/hr
    • Salary per week: 10,000 BANK
    • Salary per season: 120,000 BANK (max)
      • With 6 weeks left in the season, this would be 60,000 BANK
  • One-time Remuneration
    • 7 weeks = 70,000 bank
    • Split between Icedcool and jameswmontgomery.eth
  • Total maximum payable: 130,000 BANK
    • Remuneration + 8 weeks of salary
Elections
  • One week before the end of the season, a new poll will be created by a guild member to elect a new Guild Organizer.
  • Any guild member in good standing can announce their candidacy and be added to the poll.
  • The poll will be limited to the Dev Guild role in Discord.
  • Members can vote for as many candidates as they feel can fulfil the duties outlined above.
  • At the end of the week, the poll will conclude and the candidate with the most votes will become the Guild Organizer effective the first day of the new Season.
  • Handoff: If for any reason the Guild Organizer cannot fulfil their duties, they can hand the role (temporarily or for the remainder of the season) to the next candidate in line or a suitable party.
  • Special Removal: With at least two member’s cosigning, a member can propose that a Guild Organizer be removed from their position. The resulting special poll would last for 7 days with â…” voters in favor - or for 10 member votes in favor.
