New members:
  • Tiello.audio – just graduated from law school (Argentina, Buenos Aires)
Program for next months:
  • We can be optimistic since new people are coming even though BANK price is falling
  • Our budget has shrunk and we need to find a way to fill in this financial gap
  • Legal Guild as a talent pool
  • We as a guild are already recognizable in bDAO
  • Two types of projects: Public good projects (general understanding of crypto law – Decentralized Law as a general label for that type of projects) and value-accrual projects (projects that generate money)
  • All our projects should be visible on our website to attract sponsors
  • Global Tax Guide may act as an umbrella for other tokenized research projects
  • Public Good Projects (Decentralized Law): Podcast, Newsletter, Legal Wrapper Research, Coin Nature Research, Whitepaper
  • Tokenized Research (GTG): Digital Nomad, Tax Guide, DAO M&A (Funding: NFTs) (Allocations: DAOPunks)
  • We should prepare for a bull market – setting-up our own website may help to attract sponsorships and cooperation
Conference:
  • We as a legal guild could meet during one of crypto conferences to create team spirit and just get to know each other in real life
  • Maybe we could even ask for a slot to do a presentation during one of such conferences
Newsletter:
  • The issue with most views was the one concerning legal wrappers
  • Maybe our newsletter should be more targeted at legal laymen (basic stuff, instead of complicated legal questions)
  • The deadline for the first draft of the upcoming issue is June 15
  • Two articles submitted so far (by sacred and Merlo)
  • July’s issue will be on DAOs, but it is already a good time to start thinking on article subjects
  • Writing program – cohort-based writing program (starting early July), open to all DAO contributors, working with peers, peer review, accountability before your peer, the content created during the program may be then used on blogs or in articles, a safe space to start writing and on getting into writing on a regular basis
Website:
GTG:
  • People didn’t buy NFT for the art; they buy it because they find the content interesting
  • Financial numbers are not that bad, we have doubled our initial investment to get the mint going
  • Mint has ended
  • UAE, Mexico to be added
  • Next mint will feature actual art (like something with artistic value)
  • Final product is really good, marketing could have been better (but know we know what we can do better in the future)
DAO Entity project update:
  • Article on different DAO wrappers (good overview but focused on US) – good inspiration, but we could do better  (didn’t hear who the author is)
  • Maybe we could cover also some more exotic jurisdictions
  • One week for comments from potential contributors on what they want to cover
  • The list of contributors is not closed yet (people may still volunteer)
  • Funding from the grants committee will come in two halves
Digital nomads project:
  • Good art may help us sell this project
Podcast:
  • The pilot has ended
  • Last episode was hosted by Lion
  • Maybe we should air new episodes monthly instead of weekly
Open discussion:
  • DAO M&A – that could be our new project but it still has to be conceptualized
