Description / What is your motivation?
While we still have several strong audit teams in Ethereum, smart contracts are still being hacked and people are still losing money. One weakness I've seen from audits is they try to be a "catch-all", reviewing everything from best practices to advanced game theory.
What I'd like to do is set up an intermediary "best practices" audit team that can come in for just a few days to standardize & modularize any code that is written poorly. Some benefits from this audit team:
- audits will be more accessible to cash-strapped teams. As it's quick audit, it will be cheaper than audits from high caliber teams and teams will have shorter wait times for an audit
- if a protocol still plans to have a formal audit after, this will reduce headaches for the audit team and allow them to focus solely on their technical scope
