Gitcoin airdropped its governance token GTC to various early participants of the platform. A total of 15,000,000 GTC has been allocated to users who’ve done on-platform actions, KERNEL members, and projects who’ve participated in the Funder’s League.

Consequently some people only joined the platform to farm a token airdrop (which already took place) and were flooding the discord with questions about it. The DAOs response was the “where's my airdrop” meme.
