Had a conversation around what you look for while interviewing candidates for contributor roles:
Loie - How do skills and thinking styles complement ppl in the workstream
Armand - Skills are important, Gitcoin lifestyle is really important to understand how we work and what we do. Of course, what can they bring to the DAO.
- Looking at tech writers. during 1/1 calls, feel the person. Feel the vibe.
- What skills they bring
- What do they know about Gitcoin
- Team vs individual
- Where do they see themselves in a few years - interest and ambitions. Vision on initiatives.
What’s the vibe? What does that mean?
- Jodi - vibe can mean anything. it can be enthusiasm and how they communicate that. Can be a prejudice toward people in the space. More important: are they excited and willing to do the work?
- Online community, learn about us, be hourly
Kyle:
Vibes often == "like me" == "fit in"
What matters more to me is -> can they find belonging here == Do they bring diversity of opinion and skillset... can they compliment the team we already have.
Most of the time I am looking for how to find a person who has a super power that is also a blindspot for the team we have.

- Structure in interview process is really important. We tend to have bias around ppl similar to us.
