Discussion Item - Second Tranche Funding for S5 Projects
Disbursements are meant to go out next week, only projects who are up-to-date on KPIs will get disbursements. THIS MEANS YOU SHOULD REACH OUT TO ALL PROJECTS FOR WHOM YOU ARE A REVIEWER!

are contributors adequately incentivized?
  • can you do less projects and pay people more? rather than making more projects paying people less
    • but are we zooming in TOO much on this? this seems like micro-managing if we
  • in IMN, the projects that arent paid well didn’t last
 
is there value in this project?
  • this particular project has a lot of potential value in it - africa is an audio/spoken content, it is NOT written
  • when they started talking about revenue generation, the first client they spoke to converted to a paying client (they are paying for the service to reach the african market)
    • there is a potential for monetization for all projects they are launching
  • the challenge is that they are missing some talent to help them monetize - marketing, etc
  • there are some groups that are running podcasts (some that have started before them), and they have raised millions of dollars from top VCs
    • if they can get talent, then the market could exist
  • the potential to monetize developing countries like africa (where crypto is developing QUICKLY) is huge
 
Lack of legal wrapper and tokenization may stop you from being able to get funding
  • because they are working within the DAO context, it can be very difficult to get these things going
  • what if Bankless Africa was part of the tokenization and legal wrapper efforts going on in the DAO?
