How to set-up BANK in your Metamask wallet

What is the Tip Bot?

Collab Lab is a bot that integrates crypto tokens into Discord servers. Tipping occurs on an Ethereum sidechain. 

How to Deposit

Find the collab.land bot in your direct messages. This is the same bot you used to connect your Ethereum wallet to the BanklessDAO Discord Server.

Type !deposit 1 and collab.land will reply with two addresses. The first is the deposit address that holds your funds on the sidechain. The second is supposed to be your address. You must update this address to the one that belongs to you by clicking the link.

⚠️

The Accepted Deposit Address MUST be updated. By default there will already be an address there. If you do not own to the address listed, you will not be able to access the funds or tip someone else.

Once you've updated your address, double check by typing !deposit again.

Copy the first address (in this case, 0xbd9425Dd654DBb1E1804430df5723c279A0A86b7 ) and send your deposit of $BANK to it

Wait a few minutes and double check your funds have arrived by typing !balance

You have now successfully deposited tokens into 

How to set-up BANK in your Metamask wallet

Note: This step is only necessary if you haven't already created a token in your wallet for BANK. 

Once you're in metamask, select "Assets" to see the various tokens (including ETH) that you have. If you don't see BANK, scroll to the bottom and click on "Add Token"

Select the "Custom Token" tab to add BANK, you'll be asked to fill in three fields including: 1. Token Contract Address, 2. Token Symbol and 3. Decimals of Precision

In Token Contract Address, you'll add in the Bank token contract: 0x2d94aa3e47d9d5024503ca8491fce9a2fb4da198

Token Symbol: BANK

Decimals of Precision: 18

Then you're all set and ready to send a deposit of $BANK to 0xbd9425Dd654DBb1E1804430df5723c279A0A86b7 (see "How to Deposit" above)

How to Tip

Once you have deposited $BANK into the deposit contract, you can now tip other BanklessDAO members! This will not work for members that have not connected their wallets to collab.land

Tip a member using the following command: /tip send network:Ethereum Mainnet amount:<number of tokens> token_symbol:<token symbol> recipients:<@username>

Eg. /tip send network:Ethereum Mainnet amount:50 token_symbol:BANK recipients:@Above Average Joe#5427

Collab.land will notify the tippee of tip (in this case, Joe)

Tippee now has tip in channel and can !withdraw to their personal wallet. At withdrawal, gas fee will kick in for tippee. If the token has liquidity in Uniswap then it can be used to pay gas. ETH to be supported soon.

Tippee can check balance of their tokens by typing !balance if not previously withdrawn.

How to Withdraw

Withdrawing from Layer 2 back to the Ethereum mainnet will require paying gas fees

To withdraw, use the following command: !withdraw <token symbol> <amount>

Eg. !withdraw BANK 50

Key in your wallet address after that

If the gas fee is acceptable to you, you can accept if not you can reject
