Season 2 overview
What went wrong
  • Chrisfcrypto - Bankless Academy - we wasted time
  • JENetics - artist retention
    • If we don’t have enough paying work to go around, then it will be hard to keep people
    • Reinis - difficult to get outside revenue sources
  • Failed to create multiple streams of income into the DAO
    • Need to bring in outside revenue
  • Lack of getting portfolios up on website
  • Creative Council / Branding Guild
    • Need for creative directors
    • A lot of pushback from the larger DAO as it was seen as a centralized council that has say on everything coming out of DAO
    • Bankless Studios is available to have ‘creative council’ since it is a 3 pronged attack to Bankless
      • Seems to be an easier, smaller, focused group
      • Also allows us a little bit more trial and error
      • Potentially have Art Director role within Studios who works along Branding Director with larger bDAO
    • Branding Guild - NFThinker had convo with TwilightPirate
      • Instead of having branding guild - have branding fall under OPs as more of a ‘service’ for the DAO
      • Could other guilds just use “style pyramid” from TwilightPirate as a reference depending on what project they are working on

What went right
  • Including Guest Passes in roles
  • Started consistent process for weekly CC POAPs
  • Great animated meeting POAP for Design Guild meetings
  • Project work streams and bounties spun up
  • Got through re-election process successfully
  • Very high profile in POAPathon this year and brought some talent back to bDAO from there
Key outcomes
  • Hirokennely (part of writers guild) would reach out to Design Guild talent coordinators to get talent to create art for their work
    • Now has list of 13 designers they are calling on regular basis from Design Guild
  • Getting Guest Passes paying jobs alongside onboarding new members to the guild
What to improve
  • Utilize threads more - especially for things like Job Postings, polls, time sensitive info that we need easy access to
 
Season 3 forecast
Ideas/Initiatives
  • Goal to be the guild to bring most Guest Passes up to L1
  • Creating a way for new members to get involved right away - hopefully to help with artist retention
    • Possibly add as an optional step of the onboarding into the guild from the Talent Coordinators?
    • Creating something that we can post to Instagram?
  • Have place for people to post NFTs or POAPs they created to show off portfolios
  • Have a data point for active members - weekly meeting attendance
  • Most active member of the season?
