UNICEF Round Strategy Notes
Running December 14 and they are wanting MMM to push content
Nate needs about two more weeks before onboarding
TO NOTE: How we market and publish isn’t important to them, but the fact that we publish and market according to their timeline IS.
- Approval process: STILL TBC
Leveraging UNICEF to build Gitcoin’s brand.
Key Messages:
- For Gitcoin, Gitcoin as an impact DAO, is double downing on creating large-scale impact. And we’re doing so in partnership with UNICEF.
- Bringing QF to the NGO/web2 world.
- Being able to scale our impact on these partnerships
- Gitcoin is partnering with one of the largest NGO’s in the world to scale impact
- Transparency the way they do their funding is something we should
- Running on grants protocol
- First or second round being run on the protocols
- what does this mean for Gitcoin? For UNICEF?
- Alpha round season
NEXT STEPS:
- Julia to write a boilerplate on the Gitcoin x UNICEF narrative
- Laura to pop in bullet points
- Mathilda to help draft an outline of blog post
- Design assets
UNICEF Key messaging:
- (they still owe us this)
- Would like to speak to something along the lines of the narrative around innovation in the non-profit space. (on their behalf)
- Intersection of web3 and impact
- Play off this narrative and UNICEF recognizes transparent funding allocation, web3 innovation, etc and what this means for our future
- Inspiring web3 enthusiasts
Tactics:
- Announcement post
- Profile on grantees in one long blog post, with a series of tweets
- We are driving donors to donate.
- How to leverage the running of this round to gain more visibility for things that are ongoing etc. (build together series, twitter spaces)
- Spotlighting the new things that we’re doing with community efforts
- Double down on editorial efforts on this
- what can we do to mitigate this?
- VIDEO
- One-off piece that’s a bit more YOLO and doesn’t necessarily need to be on our “future brand”
- Voice over can be done by pretty much anyone
- Spokespeople still TBC
Do grants round outside of grants rounds do well? (experimentation)
