Bizdev Weekly 7: Vibe Check

 

Onboarding: 1-1 calls, or weekly open office hours for people? Seems to be working well with other guilds and coordinators

 

Potential Guild Initiative: who wants to spin up a squad and seek out potential sponsors for our newsletters, podcasts, etc ←— 86 this, mdiac, ManuelMaccou, siddhearta to squad up (might have missed a couple names)

 

DAO wide CRM: Bo, ManuelMaccou and Tadii to squad up and hammer out.

 

Disperse note bounty at end of month with guild payments?

 

Accomplishments:

Viking: Reworking onboarding and guild guidelines (expectations)

Refining mission, vision and values for the guild

Diligently working on the daoplomat engagement project

Polygon believe my vision for DAOlationships is the future and would like to get a piece of the project as a co-host or otherwise - no sales, no corporate bullshit, just communities helping build each other up.

UMA - has decided to completely decentralize and give all control to SuperUMAns, I have been asked to lead and coordinate the discussions on behalf of HQ and the DAO, both parties feel I'm the best person they have to get them where they wanna be.

Capacity is tapped, need team support from all orgs so I can pull all this together for everyone, I have no bandwidth to take on any new responsiblities.

 

Melon Lord: update on work so far: I’ve reached out to two forming DAOs and their creators about collaboration. - the first is a gaming DAO called Cyber Wolves with ~300 members, a very active discord, assigned report writers, a research team and an analytics team. I’ve connected with the discord’s leader, a Youtuber with 1.5k subs and a vision to make the discord a paid service similar to a private Patreon for crypto gaming alpha. - the second is an NFT collection called Hodl Gang who had their founder leave due to mental health concerns. the project is now community run with access to the treasury and has elected leaders. it is using a DAO-like structure and will likely continue in this direction if the community keeps pushing and can accumulate more ETH into their treasury through secondary sales. I wanted to be proactive, but also recognizing my newness, only felt comfortable reaching out to new and emerging DAOs. that’s all for now. feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated.

• I'm not able to join the call - think permissions changed recently on Discord (I am in DAOlationships guild and can see chat in the channel list, just can't join)?

• Solution for other DAOs (DAO-Ops as a Service): worked with Intlcapitalist on new draft of doc he started - latest draft is here. Key ideas are: 1) define best practices for recruiting/activating/retaining DAO talent; 2) apply to Bankless guilds to optimize/learn; 3) sell expertise to other guilds (e.g., dOrg could be client/beta)

• Olympus: I am part of the Olympus Pro partnership team. Happy to help here.

• dOrg: I have been working with founder for over a year on other initiatives to "professionalize" their DAO. I will be on Friday call with Bo.
