Working groups

Each GSE will own a certain problem space. Expectation is they are held accountable for deliverables and expected to produce insights on the problem area more than the other GSE’s.

- Can rely on talentDAO for external research on DAO compensation
- Need to have key tasks and skills captured for each guild
- Could we set up tipping in a way that lets you tip GIVE? - Joe says this was explored before early on in the DAO. This would minimize recency/primacy effects.
- How do we encourage tipping of $BANK? (altruism score?)
- What about streaming income?
- We need borrow against BANK and pay out in stable. BANK then vests during seasons.
- Problem space:
- What are the levels of comp? (e.g. UBI, coordinape, role, project)
- What is the cycle/tempo of payment distribution
- Payment based on tasks/skills
- How large is the guild? What do they produce? Classify guilds that are expected to generate revenue vs. add internal value to the DAO as cost centers/public goods.
- Are we responsible for paying you enough to work here full time?
- UBI for bankless members? How much? How often? Feasible? Need to do cost analysis. Joe worried about capital efficiency.

- Creating products/content to help onboard people into crypto. So how do we structure our membership to support that?
- What is our responsibility to bankless members?
- Revamp membership levels
- Competency tags (how would this influence comp?). UBI based more on meritocracy
- Idea: investment/incubator DAO
- Membership threshold would increase to seed the treasury. Is it really the responsibility to seed the treasury? Or the treasury groups to grow the funds?
Justice? - Perhaps justice is our scrum master and manages the project/work groups. Also might be interested in onboarding.
What the next steps are
- Organize workgroups - GSE handpick workgroups. The rest is bounties.
- Who are the advisors?
- GSE’s appoint them. GSE’s should provide names on who they would like to be advisors! We will still have an open application we make available to all DAO members but GSE’s are able to make endorsements.

- How do we compensate working groups?
- Baseline + variable rate based on coordinape (acts as a multiplier) - Ask Joe for more details. We can experiment on ourselves to figure out comp for the wider DAO.
- GSE’s should populate all the ideas, tasks, and problems into Kanban board in order to better scope the requirements and staffing needs for working groups.
- Joe will come back to group with info about Superfluid and how it could help compensation.
Between now and Thursday April 7th come prepared with a list of recommended people to participate in working groups. And populate your ideas/problems on the kanban board.
