Program Justification:
Onboarding in the DAO is a hard, but critical problem for us to solve - and the Dev Guild has its own unique challenges on top of that. While there are initiatives working to solve this problem, we propose an office to champion onboarding and general talent coordination from the pool of members to all projects that need work.
By solidifying the Talent Coordinator office, we create a clear steward of onboarding and talent flow into projects that need help.
Office Definition:
An office is a group of shared responsibilities between multiple people, and its funding shared between the office members. To grant operational efficiency, the office would be responsible for defining and working out the distribution of responsibilities.
Program Terms
The office would exist for a trial period lasting for Season 2 and require renewal or otherwise be more firmly instantiated.
Responsibilities/Domain
The responsibilities of this office are to:
  • Welcome new joiners and guide them through Dev Guild signup if needed
  • Touch base with all DAO projects that require Dev Guild and stay up to date on any needs
  • Provide weekly updates to the Dev Guild (on call or newsletter) about the current needs of projects
  • Offer a weekly office hours for new joiners to ask questions
  • Update the Projects Notion page and Dev Guild Members page
  • Guide devs that are looking for work to projects in need
  • Follow up with project managers to ensure dev positions are filled
  • Projects are responsible for making needs known to Dev Guild and TC Office
Payment
  • Budget
    • Hours per week: 10
    • Hours per season: 120 (max)
      • As this office would be created mid season, take the remainder of weeks instead.
    • Hourly rate: 1,000 BANK/hr
    • Salary per week: 10,000 BANK
    • Salary per season: 120,000 BANK (max)
      • With 8 weeks left in the Season 2, this would be 80,000 BANK
  • Total maximum payable: 120,000 BANK
    • Prorated to 80,000 for Season 2

Should this role inherently preside over the First Quest onboarding initiative?
  • Answer: Though the same individuals may be involved in both, they should be separate roles.
