Overview
What is Aragon?
Aragon is a decentralized app (dApp) on the Ethereum blockchain that allows anyone to create and manage a decentralized organization with a suite of applications and services. Aragon was born out of the emergent societal crisis, and failure of democracy. It was founded in 2016 by internet entrepreneurs Luis Cuende and Jorge Izquierdo. The project is open source and led by the Aragon Foundation. Projects using Aragon include Decentraland, BrightID
and Badger.

1. What is Aragon Client?
The Aragon client is a widely used Aragon product which is perfect for beginners who want to create a new DAO because of their templates feature. Since it's been launched in 2019, the number of DAOs it contains has skyrocketed and has become the dominant solution on the market. You can check out some of those DAOs here.

What are templates?
Templates are pre-configured smart contracts which you can use to create different types of organizations or to create your own on top of it.
Company template
It's an organization where transferable tokens are used to represent stake in the organization. The decisions are made by a voting mechanism, where each token is equivalent to one vote.
Membership template
It's an organization where non-transferable tokens are used to represent stake in the organization. The decisions are made by a voting mechanism where one-member have one-vote.
Reputation template
It's an organization where non-transferable tokens are used to represent reputation in the organization. Decisions are made using reputation-weighted voting.

development environment and use the aragonCLI in order to create a custom Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).What is Aragon Voice?(In Alpha)
Aragon voice is a new and revolutionary way of voting that doesn’t require gas fees and permission. With Aragon Voice, it is possible to submit proposals with any standard ERC20 token and to vote on proposals using an entirely decentralized and verifiable ballot protocol. Top tokens using Aragon voice include UNI, MATIC, COMP, and ANT.
It provides smart security and transparency measures to protect the integrity of the voting process on all levels. Open source, end-to-end verifiability, and trustless voting utilizing Ethereum main network along with Aragon Layer 2 protocol. It is securely recorded digitally, verified accurately, and safely accessible for public verification.
What is Aragon Court?
Aragon Court is another great opensource contribution by Aragon. It's a dispute resolution protocol that allows for subjective problems to be solved when a smart contract can't resolve the matter at hand. This is achieved by having a set of guardians drafted for each situation randomly who will then cast their votes and guarantee the correct ruling for an earning. It is accessible by API to any decentralized application (dApp) but fully implemented in the Aragon OpenStack. They have an active 516,000 ANT($1,049,262) staked and an 94 active Guardians.
What is Aragon Govern? (In Alpha)
Aragon Govern is a new framework for governing DAOs based on the principles of Optimistic Governance with a decentralized dispute resolution mechanism and on-chain execution which utilizes both Aragon voice and Aragon court.
Aragon Govern lets your communities operate using DAO consensus. This is an unconventional form of governance which opts to execute all project procedures as normal unless a challenge has been made by resident members via the Aragon Court, a special block on the ledger reserved for administrative decisions with subjective implications.
