1Hive is a community that builds and experiments with decentralized applications and protocols. At the center of these experiments is an effort to build a sustainable and thriving economy around a currency called Honey. Honey is money, for everybody.
Honey is used to influence the direction of the community. Anyone can buy honey or earn it by contributing to 1Hive and can use it, among other things, to vote on funding proposals and protocol changes with a weight that is equal to the Honey they hold.

We offer a residency program, funded and operated by CabinDAO. This residency program brings together a cohort of four creators for a one-month stay at the cabins.
At the end of the month, we will help each creator mint an NFT representing their work at the residency. Our intention is for the CabinDAO community (IRL in Texas, and globally on Discord) to help creators best use emergent web3 patterns to collaborate and share their work.
While the first use-case for this DAO is creator residencies, we hope to learn from this experiment and continue to find ways to sustainably fund independent online creators and develop DAO-based governance models for physical spaces.

We founded LearnWeb3 with one goal in mind: to onboard as many developers into Web3 as possible. In the early 2000s, we saw an unprecedented boom in web2 that lead us to the internet we have today. In 2022, the same thing is happening again with Web3 and the metaverse. However, learning Web3 is not easy. There is a lot of information fragmentation, and not all knowledge gaps are properly addressed. We saw a great need for a place where developers can come and learn everything there is to know to get to a point where they can feel very confident in developing their own dApps and protocols. We want there to be diversity in who benefits from Web3. Our mission is to create a grassroots organization that creates fully-fledged developers and brings them into the ecosystem. We advocate for women, people of colour, and other underrepresented groups in tech, with the mission of creating as many Web3 developers as possible.
