Catch Up With What Happened This Week in BanklessDAO
Dear Bankless Nation 🏴,
Over the past week, BanklessDAO has seen significant developments in governance and community building. Although things have seemed quiet on certain fronts, work on restarting funding is ongoing alongside the deck-clearing, which is primed to kick off on our Discord server with other big updates on the way.
This week’s community call focused on roundtable discussions about the DAO's recent developments and plans. The call explored various perspectives and potential strategies related to NFT airdrops and the role of tlBank holders within the BanklessDAO ecosystem. The roundtable discussion serves as the basis for this week’s editorial.
Finally, to further educate people about the Web3 ecosystem, Bankless Academy has launched its Bitcoin Basics course in 6 new languages! Chinese 🇨🇳, Spanish 🇪🇸, French 🇫🇷, Ukrainian 🇺🇦, Portuguese 🇧🇷 and Turkish 🇹🇷. This is a huge feat for the BanklessDAO community, as it adds six huge strides to accomplishing our mission.

The community call roundtable discussion this week centered around involvement. Members reiterated the importance of claiming POAPs (Proof of Attendance Protocols) as they might be used as criteria for future decision-making processes.
The Governance call, held every Monday at 7 PM UTC, has been the hub of discussions for many years. However, due to the ongoing restructuring process, there has been only one agenda item for the Governance calls – determining the way forward. After several weeks of gathering substantial information from various ideas, the community is now ready to move towards implementation.
This discussion brought to light the fact that working groups will soon start emerging, and the funding of initiatives will be restarted. This decision stems from the community's clear understanding of its goals and its readiness to work towards achieving them. Consequently, funding will be provided to support these endeavors.
An announcement regarding the path the DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) will take is scheduled for the Governance call on Monday. Make sure to mark your calendars for this important update.
Additionally, our good friend Above Average Joe (AAJ), who has been creating community call POAPs for over three years, is looking to hand over this responsibility. If you are interested in taking over this role, please reach out to AAJ or express your interest in the community call info channel.
