  • Welcome & Roll Call
    PART I: PROPOSALS (20')
    • Logic for meeting proposals here
     
    • Proposal (example): Clean up DAO operations discord (Kris)
      • Concentrate as much as possible under #DAOopsgov (Processes) & Community-XP
      • Delete calendar chat
      • Delete bot channels (double & noisy)
      • Create Onboarding Squad
        • Weekly onboarding call
        • Questions on review etc
        • How to get paid
      • Clarifying questions:
        • Ryan: I thought we were going to centralize in this calendar channel? Where are we going to centralize info abt calendars? - DAOops governance
        • Philip: why would we not create separate channels for separate workstreams? - bc it's more difficult for the user
      • Reaction:
        • Huxwell: are you aiming to get rid of those working groups along with reducing the channels? (Feels like you are trying to take those responsibilities within the community xp working group, i'm looking for reassurance here)
        • Loie: Likes proposing a way to combat complexity, safe enough to try along with the edit of archive rather than delete
        • Ryan: there should be 1 person responsible for calendars, but that's not necessarily related to the deletion of chats
        • Joe: these channels are noise to internal folks, but not noise to folks entering
        • Fred: threads are great for limiting channels if we make sure they get archived (and not deleted) after they expire
        • Kevin: trust the process
        • QZ: at fwb we talked archiving channels rather than deleting, perhaps talking about that more will help understand
        • Alp: safe enough to try & yes archiving
      • Integrate:
        • not intending to get rid of the working groups! Only reducing the cross-dao noise to 1 master channel, cross-DAO-ops
        • Amended Proposal: Archiving the bots, Delete cal (empty), create onboarding
      • Objections:
        • Huxwell object to deleting Calendar channel, i think this will reduce transparency
      • Amended Proposal:
        • only archive the bots channel
         
    • Proposal: Sync on season start date - Suggesting 11/1/21 through 2/1/21
      • Syncs Gitcoin Holdings and DAO
      • Creates a cadence that stewards can be expecting to do their part
      • We could make some rituals and get all medieval up in it...
      • Tension: there might not be one
      • Save these 2 proposals til next week
    • Proposal: Empower the squads who are the subject matter experts
      • If there is a Discord Squad, they should make decisions on Discord
      • Calendar Squad make decision

      • Bi-weekly onboarding chat happening TMRW (airmeet)!
      • Weekly office hours TMRW (discord)!
      • Update progress: Signup + Email logic

      • Note: Create no more channels until further notice pls

        • exchange at DAO level would be cumbersome, bc of gnosis safe & market slippage & 2 day timelock - prob any proposal to trustlessly do this would fail
        • exchange at WS level sounds doable
        • could find a group that wants to trade OTC (lump sump take on and hold tokens for stablecoins)
        • Probably good for GitcoinDAO to hold some stables to hedge against bear market anyways
        • Pub goods Ops call tmrw might be a good place to talk to ppl about it
        • Loie will continue this convo with Kevin, Scott, Philip, Elliott & Shreyas
