  • Welcome to Bankless Africa, where we delve deeper into the borderless world of the new frontier. This is Miss Purple and I will be your inquisitive guide on this ever evolving journey. According to a study conducted in 2020, 82 percent of Benin's working population taking part in the study would work remotely for an employer with no physical presence in their country. Zambia and Cote d'Ivoire had 80 percent, South Africa, had 73 percent. The reason is clear, Africans have seen what the power of the internet and foreign currency can do for opportunities & access. Now we take it a step further, and move into the frontier.

    • From a marketing standpoint, a few years ago ‘web3’ was a big buzzword, but now it’s become a deterrent for many who feel they have been burnt in some way by the space, do you plan to keep the group’s name as is or change it at some point? ✅
    • If you are keeping it, how do you get through people’s current distaste for the word and continue to onboard more people going forward ✅
  • The numbers: 40% of South African participating in a survey said they were familiar with the concept of Web3, 80% believe blockchain technology can “transform or fully rebuild the financial system”. However, 59% believe scams are among the main barriers standing in their way when it comes to dabbling with anything in the space and 48% said the crypto market’s volatility as one of their biggest barriers of entry ✅
