Bankless Africa Proposal update
- thinkDecade and Theophile continue to work on the proposal
- an overrall update on the state of the proposal will be given at the next newsletter meeting
- Ernest_of_Gaia has offered to help with developing and fine tuning the proposal
- Marklaw01 has also volunteered to help.
- Overview of motivation and mission. Development Consultancy - What does this mean? Issues that exist in the West are unique and don't have the same pathways for execution. The consultancy has a lot to offer for retrofitting and properly guiding the development efforts. Consider - Opportunity to identify educational programs and leverage DAO related expertise to create courses & training for universities/schools/education programs.
- Is this being established as a project or Media Node? - Media Node Financial support x Revenue: Initial cost center status - revenue generation Baby Steps: Node with governance, operations and funded roles. Propose media projects that may require more funding (Tactical elements)
Roadmap
- The vision is broad hence needs to be broken down into smaller scopes and tackled
- mobilize project champions to spearhead and push the initiative - current volunteers include thinkDecade, Theophile, Ernest_of_Gaia and Marklaw01
- Develop various means of obtaining funding to run the project including possibly listing on Gitcoin grants.
- Position Bankless Africa to attract web 3.0 stakeholders with an interest in African Development.
- Develop various revenue generating activities for the project and the DAO.

Newsletter
- bootstrap newsletter and keep it running while working on bankless Africa as a whole.

- Present Bankless Africa as an authoritative media source on everything crypto in the African space.
- The idea is to serve as trusted information source for content about web 3.0 Africa. This widens the target audience to include people outside Africa.
PROPOSAL SESSION with Ernest_of_Gaia - 4-5pm PDT

- contains a lot of stuff to bootstrap a media node
- probably use focalizer to represent champions
- financial implications -
- some roles - project coordinator, digital marketer, production
- Establish roles/responsibilities required
- Outreach to the community to gauge interest of potential contributors
- provide a way for people to apply for roles/responsibility
- estimate time needed to execute roles/responsibilities
- draft financial budget based on that.
- estimate and add miscellaneous expenses such as website, notion, bounties etc.
- outline benefits of the project to the DAO in the proposal
- monitor get-involved channel to direct talent to project
