Can you tell me a little bit more about what you guys are trying to accomplish at Shapeshift?
- They were DEXes before DEXes existed - Noncustodial exchange of crypto
- After MtGox fiasco, they went huge
- They had counterpart to every trade - had bags of every crypto you could trade with and hedged risks across chains
- Then they had to implement KYC, lost users
- the tried a few pivots, build HW wallet interface
- 2021
- January, integrated 0x, all DEXs on Ethereum
- April, integrated Thorchain, stopped doing KYC
- July - full DAO, winding down ShapeShift org
- 65 employees -> mostnow turning into contributors
- We are: Open-source, community owned, multi-user-, multi-wallet, non-custodial, etc
- Your decentralized interface to ANY protocol
- Users can have DeFi access to all chains
QUESTION: Would BountyBoard be handling FOX on mainnet, FOX on DAI?
- Currently, we are doing social remuneration, p2p tips, etc
- Concentrating on being a place to list work and ease friction around that (for now)
- We are working on our escrow contract, so we are working on the payout functionality
- We want to be on all L2’s
- Feedback: they like the way we are doing it
- They have bounties in their Notion and such, so posting in there and paying outside of it would be good
For contributors - what is the barrier to get people started?
- Very low barriers, trying to make them lower all the time
- first thought: You have to find something to work on
- Have some docs that guide users through this, but it could be better
- Bounty board would help - give people a link to bounties to get started
- They want to make onboarding easier - it’s pretty manual right now
- Get in meeting, hop on a call, etc
- More self-service onboarding would be great
- Engineers are having the hardest onboarding systemm there's a lot of hand-holding needed
What are your biggest challenges at the moment?
- From feedback they have gotten: documentation on their end - it’s NOT self-serve
- i.e. Want to bring more engineers on, but the eng aren’t ready to mass onboard (yet, they are working on this)
- Don't have good "first issues" across all work streams
- Vision: anyone who wants to contribute can get involved
- Right now most contributors are full-time positions
- Although we just had someone finish an outside bounty!
What are you hoping the bounty board can help you with?
- It’ll be a listing for small places to get started
- ACTION: links to create a list of "new contributor bounties" using best practices that bounty board team knows
- Easy to create bounties - they will train work stream leaders to use it as a new tool
- Get into the mode of when tasks pop up, create bounty
- Also have it all in ONE SPOT - right now bounties are all over the place
- To research: Mission control from colony
- colony.io
- List all available bounties (bitcoins, l3, whatever)
- Can see all DAOs and all work
- Also juicing with colony tokens

How are you expecting to use bounty board? Frontend vs through Discord bot?
- Both
How are you planning on paying bounties on completion? (i.e. tips? Monthly?)
- FOX, xDAI FOX, oneFOX
Feedback
- When someone else clicks submit, they get a DM and they could report the bot
- this is what happened to DEGEN, not pretty
- Want to beef up slash commands for devs to use
