Note: We have updated the rules slightly on Jan 17, 2023. There are now 3 rounds instead of 5 and a minimum $10 donation amount for upcoming rounds. Additionally, anyone who donated less than $ 10 to the Fantom round will not receive a Fantom POAP, but will still qualify for the prize at the end. We are excited to announce that we are running a POAP Quest for our Alpha Rounds where you can be entered into a raffle to win a Grand Prize of one (1) of five (5) VIP Schelling Point packages for the event which takes place March 2nd, 2023. We have 5 3 unique POAP’s available for donors to the different Alpha Rounds.
How does it work?
It’s easy! In order to be eligible to enter the POAP quest raffle you must:
 
✅ Donate to each Alpha Round. Any contribution is sufficient. Click here to get more info on how to donate a minimum $10.
  • Optimism (Jan 31 - Feb 10)
  • Alchemix (Feb - Exact dates TBC)
✅ Claim your POAP through a mint link that will be published 14 days after the end of each round.
This link will be broadcasted on Twitter as well as added here.
✅ Collect all the POAPS in order to be automatically entered into the raffle to win Schelling Point VIP tickets.
✅ Winners will be airdropped an NFT via dispatch on Ethereum Mainnet or Polygon. This NFT gates VIP tickets via our swag store. If a user holds the NFT, they will be able to claim a VIP package ticket to Schelling Point for free.
Eligibility (Updated Jan 17, 2023)
In the first two rounds (UNICEF and Fantom) we experienced a lot of POAP farmers attacking our rounds, and after conversations with the POAP team, we agreed to add a $10 dollar minimum donation cap to minimize sybil attack on both POAP and the round itself to qualify for the round POAP.
 
Here is how this impacts each round within the POAP Quest:
Unicef Round
Everyone who donated any amount in the Unicef round should receive their POAP.
Fantom Round
Those who donated more than $10 in FTM will receive the official Fantom POAP. Having this particular POAP is purely symbolic and has no bearing on anyone’s chances of winning a prize. So long as you contributed any amount to the Fantom round, you will be considered as a donor for this round.
Those who donated less than $10 in a single transaction (in any currency) will qualify for the Grand Prize, but will not receive a POAP.
For example:
  • If you donated in two transactions, one for $7 in FTM and one for $3 in FTM, you will qualify for the POAP, and will qualify for the Grand Prize.
  • If you donated $10 or more in a single transaction in anything but FTM, you will qualify for the POAP and will qualify for the Grand Prize.
  • If you donated $10 or more in a single transaction in FTM, you will qualify for the POAP and you will qualify for the Grand Prize.
For those who donated more than $10 in one or more transaction in any currency other than FTM, please contact our support team before Feb 1st, 2023 at 11:59pm MT to ensure you qualify for the POAP. Inquiries after this date will be disqualified from winning the POAP.
Gitcoin Round
All users will be required to donate a minimum of $10. Users should donate all $10 to one of the rounds only. Splitting up the amounts between rounds will not qualify as an entry. You can split the amounts across projects within a round.
For example:
  • If you donate $7 to the OSS round and $3 to the Climate round, you will not qualify for the POAP nor the Grand Prize
  • If you donate $3 dollars to project x and $7 to project y in either the OSS, ETHInfra or Climate round, you will receive the POAP and be eligible for the Grand Prize.
  • If you donate $10 or more split between 2 or 3 of the rounds, you will not qualify for the POAP nor the Grand Prize.
  • If you donate $10 or more entirely to one of either OSS, ETHInfra or Climate round, you will receive the POAP and be eligible for the Grand Prize
Grand Prize Information
Winners (5 in total) will receive a pair of tickets to the Schelling Point conference at ETHDenver, taking place on March 2nd, 2023. With these tickets, they will also get access to the VIP speakers lounge. Additionally, each winner will receive merchandise totalling a value of 150 USD or a coupon of that value that can be redeemed in the Gitcoin merch store. The coupon will expire at the end of 2023.
 
All prizes must be claimed by 11:59 pm MT on March 1st, 2023. Those who cannot come to the live event will receive the same 150 USD coupon to the Gitcoin merch store. The coupon will expire at the end of 2023.
