Building MMM Partnerships
Partnerships can create compelling artifacts, moments, and marketing campaigns. The Creative Director looks for potential partners, keeping in mind the needs of MMM. Can they offer advice on smart contracts or what type of artwork does well on social media? Would they host a twitter space with you?
When thinking about partnerships, look for low-effort touch-points that could be meaningful.
1. Build rapport with potential partners
Before any partnership requests are made, you will need to do build rapport.
- Connect: You can connect with potential partners through networking and engaging with them on platforms like Twitter.
- Research their offerings: Make sure to do research on what they have to offer. You will need to have clear understanding of what the do and how partnering will be mutually beneficial before you make the request.
2. Request partnership
When the time comes to make the request, ensure that you have a clear sense of direction and objectives for the partnership. Approach the potential partners with humility, generosity, and gratitude for their time.
Discuss the following in all partnership requests:
- Mutual benefits of the partnership
- Ideas for how to collaborate
- A plan for working together
3. Manage partnerships and collaborations
Remember to maintain open lines of communication and continue nurturing the relationship for ongoing success.
- Remain responsive to messages
- Schedule partnerships meetings: In these calls, ensure that both parties are on the same page and that the partnership is moving in the right direction. If applicable, discuss the creative aspects of the collaboration and receive input on the design and strategy.
