We need to take this grant, design a research project around it, write it up in a very professional way, let us review it, and then submit it. Please submit a sample of past analytic/critical/technical/research writing to Shaun/dancingpenguin.eth to apply! 4,000 BANK bounty. The grant is at: https://grants.osmosis.zone/request-for-proposals Any of the research RFP’s are doable. I’m putting some thoughts some of them, to give you ideas:
  • New AMM designs: By far the most innovative AMM right now in my opinion is veax, over in the near blockchain. It is this weird centralized/non-centralized model though. Can Osmosis bring these technologies or others into their system? Are their other AMM designs that would work? Can we model supply/price curves and show how it would be better than their current system? Any way we can improve their locking system?
  • Incentive structures for gas-fee trading:
  • Osmosis DAO organizational research: Can we improve their grants program? community work structure? Marketing?
  • Explore solutions for interchain transaction atomicity:

MEV (Miner Extractable Value) can be understood as the total value the miners can extract at the expense of users by arbitrarily reordering, including, or excluding transactions within a block. Simply put, miners can determine the order of when transactions are processed on the blockchain and exploit the power to their advantage.
