Dework Process - The Sequel.
Here are some handy steps to making dework as friendly as can be.
Prework for Dework
- If you are using dework for a podcast, it’s best to nail down the steps of creating the podcast from idea generation (finding your talent, creating the vision for the episode, etc) to the moments you begin to share the episode to your adoring fans.
- This can be as simple as what I noticed with the Making Bank folks workflow, or by simply creating a list of steps that you can think of off the top of your head.
- notate what topics happen consistently (recurring topics) and what topics are the random, one off topics that you may or may not need on a recurring basis.
- notate whether you need tasks that anyone can complete, or tasks that specific contributors can complete.
Lets take a look at the first thing that you should see, the main project hatchery page

I’ve documented a few numbers to check out first.
- Create - You can create a new space in Project Hatchery. This will work for tasks needed that can be better organized in their own space, versus in the main space. Think along the lines of new projects that need to be created, new initiatives, or important groups of tasks that need to be finished. (Sponsorship Speaks to me as something that need to be created.
- Spaces - this is a visual of the spaces that are currently available for contributors to view.
- About - This is the description of the project area. This is good for new contributors who may be looking to learn about the hatchery before they begin contributions.
- Open Task Filtering - Quick way to organize open tasks either by skills, or by bounty.
We want to be sure that we’re able to set up the Podcast Hatchery Profile Correctly and Completely. We can do so by pressing “Set up Profile. Once we press set up profile, we’re taken to the “organization settings screen” As you can see on the left side of the screen, you can access your integration, manage permissions for contributors, manage basic settings (enabling a project roadmap, minting NFTs, etc), and making the decision to delete the organization (via the manage section). This is dangerous, so steer clear form the manage button.

We can also take a moment to look at spaces directly. We can start with Making bank. Lets take a look at the main page that you should see for Making Bank:

This is your home space. You’ll see everything form an activity feed, to contributors, to a visual of what tasks are available, and a description of the podcast.

By Pressing the *gear* in the Making Bank Space, you can see a few different options that you can use for dework space management, this is also where you will find your template space. Press templates to go to the template space.
