CRAIG Meeting Recording:
Notes:
  • Governance
    • Brainstorming
      • Twitter
        • “It must be scheduled and put out by the marketing team” - RTJ
      • Branding
        • Cannot be used without express consent
          • I.e., used by clients & partners
          • E.g., “powered by Bankless Consulting”
      • LinkedIn
        • Bankless consulting page
          • Debate #1: To be listed as an “employee” you must be an associate
          • Counterpoint: It is free marketing to have all Bankless “employees” listed
            • Proposal: Link to an NFT (opensea link) on your LinkedIn that you own that shows you are in good standing
              • Revokable? No; it may be possible to change though
BlackCherryProductions - Notes Meeting 3 February
Attendees: DSide, RunTheJewelz, Sdnegel, kylem, Farmer, ETS, BlackCherryProductions, 3DHippy + CRAIGBOT <3, 0xBear, LiviuC, rotorless/Amicus.eth.
  1. Governance update
Status: Final phase. Ryan Anderson made a policy, not ratified yet. See #Governance-framework chat.
! Help needed: to outline it as a real governance doc. Take out and finetune aspects that are pure governance. Who has experience in that?
Learnings: less is more in governance docs. Simple is better.
Considerations: Governance also will inform Marketing office for socials, but needs some liberties as well. What are the things that are really black and white lines, do’s and dont’s to represent the BConsulting brand are in scope of governance. The rest of the doc might be too much, as the Mktg office needs liberty too.
Example: BConsulting gov document: 12 or 14 sections were ratified already (insert link here).
It feels too much like guideline / handbook, not enough as governance. Governance doc needs to be guardrails to protect BConsulting and its contributors.
Goal: need to outline rules to protect the brand. (avoid people misusing our logo, and empower us to build the brand safely)
E.G.: Twitter exampleRyan created Airtable w content and ideation of posts. Example outline: social media posts should be scheduled and posted in airtable, and then posted in social media channels by the marketing core contributors. Clarifies who has accountability and ownership of social media posts.Marketing office lead (or delegate) is only one that has control over the socials. It needs to be clear this is a centralized responsibility. A clear delineation.
(Other accounts: Tiktok. No IG, FB, Redditt, etc. policy should apply to all)
E.G.: Client-related social media use
Using client or partner logo or other way around (e.g. client/partner mentions powered by BConsulting)
Need to outline limitations of the use in both scenarios.
(Out of scope:
Just focused on marketing and branding now
Using BConsulting IP/contributor IP, client confidentiality, what should be protected (our data for example), insider trading disclosures, Non-disclosure agreements. Default is mostly open and inclusive, other things need-to-know: biz pipeline protected.)
E.G.: Linkedin
Claiming Linkedin company page or claiming BConsulting contributorship
Governance policy outlines levels: contributor, then associate (need to pass an exam, be sponsored, be voted in etc), then representatives (ppl on governance board). Suggestion DSide: Can only list BConsulting involvement as a ‘job’ on LI account when you are an associate. Can list it as a ‘project’ when you are an associate. Is it that important? What would be a negative impact? Free PR? Hurting brand w non-qualified ppl, but would we really check.
Dside: protect us from looters.
We will have bigger battles to fight… Free PR v bad actors. What happens if someone bad claims BConsulting as a job, and then posts shitty things. Decision: we just put it in the guidelines, then we have a reason to delete them off of linkedin. ‘unbuzz ‘ (RTJ?) group can help w ppl that need to be kicked out of Discord.
Can HR dept or smth help? No such thing.
NFT to authenticate BConsulting associates: opensea link included.
Time-bound (2022 cohort).
→ possibly interesting to link to Kales’ utility NFT for Bconsulting, which is a separate thread.
Tooling:
  • Clarity
    • What is it?
      • WEB3 gated, Create workspaces; looks like Notion; set bounties and payments
